Cloud technology, innovation, and competitive learning came together at Techno India University as the AWS Student Builder Group organized “Cloud Clash” – a vibrant event designed to introduce students to the real-world possibilities of AWS and modern cloud computing. Packed with interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, and engaging activities, the event created an exciting atmosphere for aspiring developers, tech enthusiasts, and future cloud professionals eager to explore how cloud solutions are transforming today’s digital world.
The session was conducted by Mr. Rahul Shaw, Domain Specialist Engineer at AWS, who introduced students to the rapidly evolving landscape of cloud computing and deployment technologies. Rather than focusing only on theory, the session emphasized practical industry applications and real deployment workflows, helping participants understand how cloud platforms are driving modern application development, scalability, hosting, and cybersecurity. The event also added an element of excitement through contests, rewards, AWS credits, and Amazon Prime subscriptions for outstanding participants.
Mr. Rahul Shaw shared, “AWS Amplify transforms complex cloud deployment into a simple and seamless experience,” while explaining the significance of AWS services like EC2, RDS, S3, and especially AWS Amplify in today’s cloud ecosystem. He explained how Amplify provides a fast, secure, and developer-friendly hosting solution that enables applications to be deployed directly from GitHub and other platforms without complex configurations. By integrating smoothly with services such as CloudFront, Cognito, DynamoDB, and KMS, Amplify simplifies deployment while improving scalability and security. As he rightly pointed out, “Cloud computing is not just about storage and servers; it is about creating smarter and faster solutions.”
During the interactive session, students also gained insights into several core AWS services and their real-world applications across industries. Mr. Shaw discussed Amazon S3 and its importance in secure and scalable cloud storage, along with AWS Amplify and its role in modern full-stack application hosting. Students were also introduced to Amazon EC2 for scalable virtual server management and Amazon RDS for simplified relational database management in cloud environments. These discussions helped participants understand how multiple AWS services work together to build efficient, scalable, and industry-ready cloud infrastructures.
One of the most engaging moments of the event came towards the end with a fun and competitive activity titled “AWS Card Clash.” Designed as a cloud-themed game, the activity tested students on the AWS concepts and services discussed during the session.
