Envisage’25, the flagship E-Summit of Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL), unfolded from April 19 to 23, 2025, drawing more than 500 energetic participants from across disciplines. Organized by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC TMSL), this five-day summit offered a ₹2.5 lakh prize pool and ten diverse events designed to challenge, inspire, and nurture entrepreneurial thinking. The initiative created a vibrant platform where innovation met execution, placing students at the heart of an emerging startup ecosystem within the campus.
The inauguration of Envisage’25 took place in the Conference Room of TMSL and was marked by a dynamic lineup of dignitaries and institutional leaders. Mr. Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Chief Innovation Officer of Techno India Group, opened the event with a compelling speech that emphasized innovation and entrepreneurial boldness. He was joined by noted personalities such as Sayantan Maitra Boka, Ushmita Sahoo, Kaushik Banerjee, and Anirban Banerjee, whose presence added significance to the event. From within the Techno India Group fraternity, Prof. (Dr.) Sujoy Biswas, Director and CEO; Prof. (Dr.) Dipankar Bhattacharyya, Principal of TMSL; Prof. (Dr.) Soumik Das, Vice-Principal; Prof. (Dr.) Dharmadas Mondal, Dean of Academics; Prof. Subhajit Bhowmick, President of IIC TMSL; and Dr. Sudipta Chakrabarty, Convenor of IIC TMSL, shared their insights, blending institutional pride with intellectual energy.





A key academic highlight of the summit was the keynote address by Prof. (Dr.) Swagatam Das, an internationally acclaimed researcher from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). Speaking on Machine Learning, he captivated the audience with insights into emerging trends in artificial intelligence and data-driven innovation. Later that day, in observance of World Creativity and Innovation Day, Dr. Soumya Sen, Assistant Professor at the University of Calcutta, delivered a thoughtful lecture on Generative AI, shedding light on the evolving intersection of creativity and computation.
The summit’s competitive backbone was its ten signature events that provided a wide arena for students to demonstrate their skills and entrepreneurial flair. These included Startup Expo, Stockify (a virtual stock market), Promote-It (a marketing battle), Hack-Ur-Way (a Metaverse hackathon), B-Plan (business pitching), CXO’s Insights (a case study challenge), BizzQuiz (a business quiz), Tweeters (a business debate), and Venture Vault (a mock startup auction). Each event was designed to simulate real-world challenges and decision-making under pressure, ensuring that participants left with valuable experience and confidence.

Eminent figures included Sankar Nath Mukhopadhyay, Chairman of IET Kolkata Local Network; Prof. (Dr.) Madhurima Chattopadhyay of Heritage Institute of Technology; Dipankar Ganguly, former DGM of Parle Products; Sagnik Majumder Director of Snik India Pvt.
