Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL) organised a three-week induction programme for the new entrants of the B.Tech academic session 2026–27, introducing students to the academic environment, campus culture, professional values and essential skills before the beginning of regular classes. The programme was conducted under the Basic Science and Humanities (BSH) Department, which guides first-year B.Tech students during their initial academic phase before they move into their respective departments.
The induction programme began with the Bridge Orientation from August 17 to 19, 2026. The sessions were planned to help students become familiar with the learning environment and prepare them for their transition into engineering education. The schedule included Foundation Courses in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English, along with speaking and communication activities and library visits. Students were also introduced to areas such as Human Values, the Indian Constitution, Computer Awareness, Artificial Intelligence and Immersive Technology. An Anti-Ragging Awareness programme was also included as part of the orientation.

Following the Bridge Orientation, Campus Engage was conducted from August 24 to September 2, 2026. The programme was organised department-wise for different groups of first-year B.Tech students, including IT + CSCS, CSE + CSBS, IOT + EIE + ECS, ECE, ME + CE + FT, EE, and AIML + CSDS. The sessions were held at the G-Series venue and involved faculty members from the BSH Department as well as the respective departments.
Each Campus Engage session followed a structured schedule beginning with an Introduction, followed by a session on “Professional Accountability.” Students then attended “Know Your Constitution” and “Know Your Department” sessions before signing out for the day. The Professional Accountability session was conducted with the involvement of the Bhaktivedanta Society, while the department-specific sessions gave students an opportunity to understand their respective academic areas and interact with faculty members.
The programme also provided students with exposure to computer awareness and emerging technologies, helping them understand the technological environment associated with engineering education. Alongside technical learning, the inclusion of Human Values, constitutional awareness and professional accountability aimed to introduce students to the responsibilities that accompany their academic and professional journey.

The second phase of Campus Engage, titled Campus Engage Part 2, was held on September 3 and September 7, 2026. The sessions focused on wellness, with students from different B.Tech groups participating in dedicated wellness sessions. These activities added a well-being component to the induction programme and supported students as they adjusted to their new academic surroundings.
The three-week programme brought together academic orientation, foundation learning, professional values, constitutional awareness, emerging technologies, anti-ragging awareness, departmental interaction and wellness activities. Through the different phases, TMSL provided its first-year B.Tech students with a structured introduction to college life and engineering education, preparing them for the transition into their regular academic schedule.
