The inauguration of the Next-Generation Cath Lab at Techno India DAMA Hospital on 3rd February 2025 marked a major advancement in cardiac and neurovascular care. Equipped with high-end imaging and minimally invasive technology, the facility underscores Techno India Group’s commitment to accessible, patient-centric, and technology-driven healthcare excellence in the region.

Eclectica INTRA ’25 at Techno Main Salt Lake celebrated intellect, creativity, and leadership with its first-ever Model United Nations organised by Team Opinionists. Alongside debates, diverse cultural and creative events fostered holistic education, highlighting TMSL’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and all-round student development.

The launch of the French Language Annex through Alliance Française du Bengale and Techno India University strengthened Indo–French academic ties. Formalised by an MoU, the initiative expanded French learning access, cultural exchange, and global exposure, reaffirming the university’s commitment to international collaboration and multilingual, globally oriented education.

Bipasha Mondal’s selection among India’s top 10 educators to visit the Science Museum Group, London, marked a proud moment for Techno India Group. Representing TIGPS Garia, her participation in the UK-supported STEM project reinforced the Group’s commitment to innovative, globally aligned STEM education.

The second edition of the Kolkata International Drum Festival 2025 electrified Nazrul Manch on March 9, celebrating India’s percussive legacy on Ustad Zakir Hussain’s birth anniversary. Performances by Pt. Subhen Chatterjee, A. Sivamani, and others fused traditional rhythms with global beats, reaffirming Kolkata’s vibrant musical and cultural dynamism.

Techno India University, in collaboration with Seamedu, launched the School of Media Sciences at the School of the Future, becoming Seamedu’s exclusive Eastern India university partner. Offering specialised B.Sc. programmes across media and entertainment, the initiative blends academic rigor with hands-on training, reinforcing TIU’s commitment to industry-aligned, future-ready media education.

Techno India University expanded its healthcare education with new Allied Health programmes under the School of the Future, partnering with Emversity as its exclusive West Bengal academic collaborator. Offering industry-aligned B.Sc. (Hons) programmes with mandatory hospital internships, the initiative reinforces TIU’s commitment to nurturing skilled, future-ready allied healthcare professionals.

Techno India Group achieved a cinematic milestone with the theatrical release of Check In Cheque Out, directed by Satrajit Sen and produced by Meghdut RoyChowdhury. Featuring strong student involvement and industry mentorship, the film highlighted TIG’s commitment to experiential learning, creative excellence, and nurturing future talent in Indian cinema.

Students of Techno India Group’s Ramgarh Engineering College earned national recognition at Gujarat Robofest 4.0 by winning ₹50,000 for their Autonomous Maze-Solving Robot. Guided by Mr. Kamal Ahmed, the achievement highlighted advanced robotics innovation and reinforced the Group’s commitment to hands-on, industry-relevant engineering education.

Students of Techno India University and allied institutions unveiled a sustainable Durga idol at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, on 23 March 2025—marking the city’s first. Part of the Durga Darshan initiative, the installation celebrated Kolkata’s Durga Puja as a global cultural symbol, blending heritage, sustainability, and Indo-UK cultural exchange.

The 3rd Happiness Fair by Monoshij, held on 29 March 2025 at Techno India University, celebrated the International Day of Happiness with the theme “Caring & Sharing.” Featuring performances, mental health exhibits, art spaces, and music by Sayani Palit, the fair reinforced Techno India Group’s commitment to emotional well-being, empathy, and inclusive mental health awareness.

EDGE 2025, the 19th edition of Techno Main Salt Lake’s flagship techno-management fest, energized the campus from April 3–6 with innovation, culture, and youth leadership. Featuring conclaves, EDGE Talks, performances, and celebrations, the student-led fest showcased creativity, ambition, and future-ready exploration.

The Next Gen HR Tech-Conclave 2025, hosted by Techno India University with PHDCCI, brought together industry and academic leaders to discuss AI-driven HR, inclusivity, and workforce transformation. Led by Meghdut RoyChowdhury, the conclave reinforced TIU’s role in shaping future-ready, human-centric conversations on talent and organisational evolution.

Techno India University student Shamiur Rahaman Mondal secured second place at the World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Challenge during Waves Summit Mumbai 2025. His achievement highlights TIU’s strong creative ecosystem, hands-on learning approach, and growing global presence in film, VFX, and digital media education.

An 18-year-old patient from Bangladesh regained hope at Techno India DAMA Hospital after a successful complex surgery for a rare pancreatic tumour (SPEN). Led by Dr. Suddhasattwa Sen, the organ-preserving procedure underscored DAMA’s excellence in advanced, compassionate, life-saving care.

Techno Billion AI unveiled Indira AI, India’s first AI-powered humanoid teaching assistant for schools, at the Techno India Salt Lake Campus. Powered by generative AI, the initiative showcased interactive, multilingual, and gamified learning—reinforcing Techno India Group’s mission to make AI-enabled education accessible, inclusive, and future-ready for young learners.

Students of Techno Main Salt Lake secured 1st place at the National Space Hackathon 2025, organised by ISRO and IIT Delhi. Honoured at GLEX 2025, the team impressed experts with an innovative space-tech solution, reinforcing TMSL’s rising stature in national innovation and advanced technological excellence.

Kolkata Design Fest ’25 united students, designers, and industry leaders in a three-day celebration of creativity and sustainability across Techno India University campuses. Co-hosted by the School of the Future, the festival spotlighted responsible design, immersive exhibitions, workshops, and dialogue—positioning Kolkata as a hub for future-ready, socially conscious creative innovation.

Techno India Group Public School, Ariadaha, was honoured as Best School, while Principal Debdutta Bera Adhya received the Best Principal – Beacon of Transformation Award for her visionary leadership. Students of Techno India University led a green awareness campaign with Indian Railways at Sealdah Station on World Environment Day 2025. Anahita Prasad of Techno India Group Public School, Mankundu, secured 2nd position at the 10th West Bengal Inter School Shooting Championship with a personal best score of 395/400. Labonnyo 2025, organised by Techno India Group, honoured inspiring women across leadership, social service, arts, and diverse fields, celebrating resilience and impact. Conceived by Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury and graced by Dr. Shashi Panja, the event emerged as a meaningful platform championing women’s strength, stories, and transformative contributions to society.

The 9th International Karate Championship – Indian Challengers’ Cup 2025 at Netaji Indoor Stadium brought together athletes from nine countries in a vibrant celebration of global sporting excellence. Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury’s presence and Diya Roy of TIGPS Konnagar’s participation highlighted the role of mentorship, discipline, and sports in holistic student development.

Techno India University hosted the UEC 2025 National Finals, Eastern India’s largest collegiate esports event, in collaboration with NoScope Gaming and Red Bull. Featuring India’s top university teams and announcing the region’s first Esports Hub, the championship positioned Kolkata as a rising national esports powerhouse.

Convocation 2025 at Techno India University celebrated academic excellence and future readiness as over 2,000 graduates received degrees at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. With Padma Shri Dr. Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay and industry leaders present, honorary D.Litt. awards and strong academia–industry synergy highlighted confident graduates prepared for an AI-driven world globally ahead.

Techno India Group Public School, Garia, secured the No. 1 rank in South 24 Parganas in the Times School Survey – West Bengal 2025 for the second consecutive year. Students of Techno India University made a strong mark at the IBM National Hackathon 2025, with Team No. 3 emerging as national winners for their C++ Custom Memory Allocator solution. Competing against top institutions, the achievement underscored TIU’s focus on industry-aligned, hands-on learning and inclusive excellence in technology education.

Swastik Nandi, a first-year B.Tech CSE student, secured 2nd place at the AICRA World Robotics Championship – Technoxian 2025, competing against participants from over 50 countries. His innovative, adaptive robotic system highlighted exceptional technical skill and reflected a strong culture of hands-on learning, innovation, and early academic excellence.

Techno Main Salt Lake received the prestigious AAA Di-Verse Certificate—the highest inclusion rating—from the American India Foundation at International Purple Fest 2025 in Goa. Honouring TMSL as an Inclusion Pioneer, the award recognises its exemplary commitment to accessibility, equity, and supportive academic practices for persons with disabilities.

TIU’s School of the Future launched the student-led Sustainovate Club on 17 October to drive practical campus sustainability initiatives. Emphasising shared responsibility, the launch featured insights on green careers, renewable energy, and electric mobility, marking a meaningful step toward translating climate awareness into long-term, action-driven impact.

Techno India University hosted the Dronacharya Awards Ceremony 2025 on November 5, honouring 400 educators from 23 districts of West Bengal for their dedication to value-based education. Attended by eminent leaders, the event celebrated teachers as the true architects of society, shaping curiosity, character, and innovation.

Meghdut RoyChowdhury, Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer of Techno India Group, represented India at the inaugural Global Health Congress at the Yale Club, New York. Engaging with global leaders, he highlighted academic–industry collaboration and Indo–US digital health partnerships, reinforcing India’s growing role in shaping equitable, technology-driven global healthcare innovation.

Techno India University signed an MoU with Queen’s University Belfast on November 6, 2025, strengthening global academic collaboration under India’s GIFT City initiative. Formalised in New Delhi, the partnership reinforces TIU’s commitment to international research, innovation, and cross-cultural learning with one of the UK’s leading universities.

Techno India University hosted a delegation from Rutgers University, USA, to explore future-ready academic collaborations. Discussions on research, global learning pathways, and student–faculty exchange reflected a shared vision for international engagement, reinforcing TIU’s commitment to innovation, cross-cultural exposure, and world-class education.

Techno India University became the first institution in Eastern India to host an AI Impact Summit under the India AI Mission on 28 November. Bringing together industry leaders, academia, and security agencies, the summit advanced dialogue on building AI-ready human capital, with insights contributing directly to national AI policy.

ASMI Business School, Techno India University, organised its International Study Tour 2025 to Malaysia, blending academic interactions, industry visits, and cultural exploration. With engagements at leading universities and global companies, the tour enhanced students’ international exposure, business insight, and global leadership perspective.

Students of Ramgarh Engineering College, Techno India Group, won the Innovation Excellence Award at JUT’s Idea Tribe 2025 for GlaucoVision, an AI-powered solution for early glaucoma detection. The achievement highlights the institute’s commitment to socially impactful innovation, research, and accessible healthcare technology.

A student team from Techno Main Salt Lake emerged as Grand Finale winners with Krishi Drishti, an AI–IoT solution developed for the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Enabling real-time tracking of crop residue management machines, the scalable, low-cost platform promotes smarter farm operations, reduced stubble burning, and data-driven agriculture—showcasing TMSL’s innovation-led, real-world problem-solving ethos.

Techno Olympica Knights 2025 concluded as a grand celebration of sport and unity, featuring over 3,000 student-athletes from 158 schools across West Bengal. Inaugurated by badminton star Prannoy H.S., the multi-sport championship highlighted discipline, teamwork, and resilience, crowning National Modern High School as overall champions.

The inauguration of the Hult Prize at Techno India University during LIMITLESS’25 sparked impactful discussions on purpose-driven entrepreneurship. Industry leaders shared real-world insights on ethical leadership, innovation, and resilience, reinforcing the School of the Future’s commitment to nurturing socially conscious, future-ready student innovators.

Techno India University hosted its first-ever official Alumni Meet, celebrating memories, reunions, and lifelong connections. With engaging interactions, a stand-up act by Biswa Kalyan Rath, live music by Adrija Saha, and personal engagement by Meghdut RoyChowdhury, the evening marked the beginning of a cherished alumni tradition.

 INTERNSHIPS

Across Techno India Group institutions, 2025 witnessed students stepping confidently into some of India’s most competitive research and innovation environments. Rohit Sarkar, a third-year Electronics & Communication Engineering student, earned an internship at ISRO, gaining hands-on exposure to advanced space technology and applied research. Adding to this momentum, Priyanka Podder from Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) secured an internship at Google, Bengaluru, working on real-world, large-scale systems.

Several CSE students also undertook research internships at IIT Kharagpur and NIT Durgapur, contributing to domains such as AI, cybersecurity, and software development. These milestones reflect Techno India Group’s strong mentorship culture, industry-aligned curriculum, and sustained focus on learning that extends well beyond the classroom.

PLACEMENTS

Across institutions, placements reflected robust industry confidence and career-focused training. MBA students from ASMi Business School joined organisations such as Ernst & Young (EY), eDominer Technologies, ALP & Associates, and Dhanvesttor, taking up roles in consulting, taxation, business development, and HR. Ramgarh Engineering College recorded a strong showing as 51 students were shortlisted by AAAPL & BAGLA Group for structured roles in core engineering and manufacturing.

Creative disciplines also saw remarkable outcomes at École Intuit Lab x Techno India University, with students placed at Studio Onto, Design Pinata, Hatch, Ninestars, and Drop Top Royale, while one alumna launched her own design venture. Beyond campuses, Techno India Group and ICEI enabled life-changing placements for 70 rural candidates under DDU-GKY, reinforcing a shared commitment to employability, innovation, and inclusive growth.
