On the occasion of World Environment Day, observed on June 5, 2025, students of Techno India University were given the unique opportunity to participate in an impactful awareness campaign organized by the Sealdah Division of Indian Railways. The event took place at Sealdah Station, one of the busiest railway terminals in the country, where thousands of passengers pass through every day.
Our students stood proudly alongside railway officials, spreading vital messages about sustainability, eco-friendly living, and environmental protection. From handing out awareness leaflets to speaking with daily commuters, the students actively engaged with the public, encouraging everyone to take small but meaningful steps towards a greener future.
Senior government officials and members of the Indian Railways also attended the event. They not only appreciated the enthusiasm of the students but also participated in open discussions on how environmental initiatives can be strengthened through youth involvement and public support. These conversations highlighted the importance of community-driven efforts in addressing global environmental challenges.
This collaboration proved to be more than just an awareness drive — it was a powerful learning experience for our students. Being part of such a large-scale initiative helped them understand the real-world impact of their actions and the importance of youth leadership in environmental conservation.
