Kolkata, 29th March, 2025 – In a vibrant celebration of community spirit and emotional well-being, Techno India Group‘s mental wellbeing platform, Monoshij, orchestrated its 3rd annual “Happiness Fair” at the Techno India University campus. The event, a brainchild of Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group, commemorated the International Day of Happiness, reiterating the profound importance of empathy, equality, and collective support in building a more harmonious world.

The fair’s inauguration, a moment of heartfelt connection, was graced by the presence of the esteemed Indian Classical Vocalist, Ms. Sayani Palit, and Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury. This year’s theme, “Caring & Sharing”, served as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of even the smallest acts of kindness, emphasizing how generosity can weave positive change into the fabric of our lives.

“Through the Happiness Fair, we aspire to nurture a culture deeply rooted in kindness and emotional well-being,” articulated Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury. “We envision a society where every gesture of generosity contributes to a more compassionate and joyful existence for all.”

The day-long celebration was a tapestry of artistic expressions and interactive engagements, designed to uplift spirits and foster a sense of belonging. Students from Techno Main Salt Lake, Techno India University, Techno India Group Public Schools (Garia and Ariadaha), and TIGA South Kolkata captivated the audience with a diverse showcase of dance, musical, and instrumental performances. A spirited “Go As You Like” costume walk, judged by Dipankar Bhattacharya, Principal of TMSL, and Ms. Debdutta Bera Adhya, Principal of TIGPS Ariadaha, injected a dose of playful creativity and self-expression into the festivities. Ms. Sayani Palit’s poignant rendition of “Ekla Cholo Re” resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of inner strength and resilience.

The Psychology Department of Techno India University played a crucial role in promoting mental well-being, presenting insightful interactive exhibits that explored the vital role of community support in stress management. Attendees were invited to participate in engaging hands-on activities, fostering a sense of connection and shared understanding. An art activity corner provided a space for spontaneous expression, encouraging participants to tap into their creative potential. The Hospitality Department delighted attendees with a delectable array of culinary treats, from savory chaat to sweet delicacies, showcasing their culinary expertise. Adding to the fair’s unique charm, handcrafted jewelry from Shreya’s Creations and Anime/K-pop merchandise from Merch Maniac offered attendees distinctive souvenirs, celebrating individuality and creativity.
