Techno India University recently hosted a unique and inspiring event — a Certified Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist (CPRS) workshop — on June 14–15, 2025. This wasn’t just any workshop. It was an internationally recognized program that brought advanced training right to our doorstep. In collaboration with PhysioDNA, the two-day event offered 16 hours of rich, practical learning for students and professionals keen on mastering cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
The workshop focused on modern techniques for helping patients with heart and lung conditions — whether they’re in the ICU, hospital wards, or visiting clinics. Participants didn’t just sit and listen. They rolled up their sleeves and practiced hands-on skills: from manual techniques that ease breathing to real-life case studies that showed how these treatments change lives.

The star of the workshop was Dr. Samana Sayed, a highly respected cardiopulmonary physiotherapist. With over 16 years of experience across 17 countries, Dr. Sayed shared her deep knowledge and practical tips in a way that made complex ideas easy to understand. Her passion and expertise lit up the sessions, leaving everyone inspired.
This incredible opportunity was made possible thanks to the dedication of Dr. Amartya Sinha, Assistant Director of School Health Science at Techno India University. His efforts in bringing such world-class training to our campus did not go unnoticed — he received warm appreciation from students, faculty, and fellow organizers.
We also want to thank every member of the faculty and organizing team who worked behind the scenes to make this event a success. Workshops like these play a huge role in shaping future physiotherapists, helping them become more confident and ready for real-world challenges.
