Chaibasa | September 2026: Chaibasa Engineering College, a part of the Techno India Group, inaugurated ‘Pratham Pravesh’, its orientation programme for the newly admitted 2026–2030 batch, on September 9, 2026. Around 150 students attended the programme, marking the beginning of their engineering journey and a 21-day induction programme designed to help them transition smoothly from school to college life.
The college was honoured to host Shri Manish Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, West Singhbhum, as Chief Guest, and Shri Utkarsh Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner, West Singhbhum, as Guest of Honour. Shri Ravindra Kumar and Shri Sandeep Kumar Kesarwani of Tata Steel Foundation joined the occasion as Special Guests.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Principal (I/C) Prof. Debabrata Raha urged the students to pursue their goals with continuous effort and to stay clear of every distraction along the way. He shared that the 21-day induction programme has been structured around a range of activities planned over the coming weeks, so that students settle into campus life while building the habits that sustain them through four years of study.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Utkarsh Kumar encouraged the students to make the most of their time on campus by engaging with every forum available to them – cultural clubs, the incubation setup, technical clubs and more — in order to gain the widest possible exposure during their undergraduate years.
In his address, Shri Manish Kumar reminded the students that while exploring everything college has to offer, they must never lose sight of their core objective: engineering and academic excellence. He urged them to become part of the change they wish to see in society, and to keep away from unhealthy habits and addictions.
The importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being was highlighted by Shri Ravindra Kumar, while Shri Sandeep Kumar Kesarwani also shared his thoughts with the incoming students. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Tanmay Das, Coordinator of the Orientation Committee, followed by the National Anthem.
With the beginning of ‘Pratham Pravesh’, Chaibasa Engineering College welcomed its newest batch into campus life, setting the stage for a journey focused on learning, participation, personal development and engineering excellence.
