Dumka Engineering College, a part of the Techno India Group, observed National Youth Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and active student participation on 12th January 2026, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda—India’s iconic youth leader and spiritual visionary. The programme aimed to inspire young minds through the ideals of discipline, character building, innovation, and nation-building.
The celebration witnessed the participation of more than 250 students, making it a major academic and motivational event at the campus. Students actively engaged in PPT presentations, poster presentations, model presentations, and speech competitions, showcasing innovative ideas, social responsibility, and engineering-based solutions inspired by the teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda.
Speaking to the gathering, Principal Dr. Ganesh Shankar emphasized the significance of National Youth Day in shaping the outlook of future engineers. He stated that engineers nurtured under the Techno India Group are not only skilled technical professionals but also responsible citizens committed to nation-building. He noted that Swami Vivekananda’s teachings instill self-confidence, leadership, and moral strength—qualities essential for professional excellence and personal growth.



Vice-Principal Dr. Ratan Kumar Bose remarked that National Youth Day serves as a reminder of the immense power of youth in driving innovation and societal transformation. He stated that such initiatives reflect the Techno India Group’s focus on holistic development by enhancing analytical thinking, communication skills, creativity, and ethical values among engineering students.
Sharing his thoughts, Institution Innovation Council (IIC) President Prof. Pankaj Sarkar spoke about how Swami Vivekananda’s ideas connect strongly with innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving in today’s engineering education. He shared that taking part in academic and co-curricular activities helps students grow not only in technical skills but also in teamwork, ethical values, and a positive outlook.



The National Youth Day 2026 celebration at Dumka Engineering College successfully reinforced the Techno India Group’s commitment to value-based and holistic engineering education. The programme concluded with appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of students and the dedicated efforts of faculty members and organizers, reaffirming the group’s vision of developing competent engineers with strong ethical foundations and social responsibility.
