The Department of Physiotherapy at Techno India University marked World Physiotherapy Day 2025 with vibrant enthusiasm, meaningful discussions, and a strong sense of purpose. The celebration, centred around this year’s theme — “Healthy Ageing” — highlighted the indispensable role of physiotherapists in promoting lifelong health, mobility, and independence across all ages.
The event brought together students, faculty, and healthcare professionals in a shared mission to inspire a healthier, more active society. Eminent resource persons, Dr. Souvik Roy (PT) and Dr. Sayantan Chattopadhyay (PT), led insightful sessions that explored the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining strength, flexibility, and overall quality of life in ageing populations. Their engaging talks encouraged students to view ageing not as a limitation, but as an opportunity to enhance well-being through movement and preventive care.
Beyond the sessions, the day was filled with energy and creativity. Students organized interactive activities, awareness campaigns, and competitions that showcased the impact of physiotherapy on preventive healthcare and healthy living. From thought-provoking posters to lively cultural performances and community outreach initiatives, every element reflected the department’s dedication to holistic wellness and compassionate care.

The celebration also strengthened the bridge between academia and the healthcare community, fostering innovation, leadership, and collaboration among future physiotherapists. It served as a reminder that physiotherapy goes far beyond rehabilitation—it’s a cornerstone of maintaining independence, vitality, and quality of life at every stage.
With its blend of education, empathy, and enthusiasm, the event stood as a testament to Techno India University’s commitment to advancing physiotherapy education and promoting public health. By embracing the spirit of World Physiotherapy Day, TIU reaffirmed its place as a hub of excellence where science meets service, and learning meets life.
