The Institute Innovation Council (IIC), in collaboration with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of Ramgarh Engineering College, part of Techno India Group, organized an insightful guest lecture on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” on April 25, 2025, from 3 PM onwards. The session was held at the CSE Smart Classroom of the college campus in Murubanda.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kailash Pati Dutta, Associate Professor, Department of CSE & IT, Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. His session focused on the importance of structured thinking, creativity, and innovative approaches in engineering education. Around 70 enthusiastic students attended the session and actively participated in the discussions and interactions.
Principal of Ramgarh Engineering College, Dr. Sharbani Roy, expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the event. She said, “We are so happy to invite Dr. Kailash Pati Dutta to provide our students such a fascinating lecture. His insights will definitely help shape the mindset of our budding engineers.”
Dr. Nazmul Islam, Vice Principal of the college, also shared his views, saying, “Nowadays, a good thought process is very important for every engineering student. We are thankful to Dr. Kailash Pati Dutta for accepting our invitation and enlightening our students with his valuable knowledge.”
The event was successfully coordinated by Professor Arunabha Datta, Coordinator of the Institution Innovation Council. He stated that approximately 70 students from various departments attended the workshop and gained valuable exposure to the concepts of creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Several faculty members were present during the session, including Mr. Nilesh Kumar, Mr. Pallab Das, Mr. Kamal Ahmed, Mr. Priyaranjan Singh, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Mr. Gourab Dutta, and Mr. Sanat Kumar, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to make the most of such academic opportunities.
The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks and a warm round of applause for Dr. Dutta, whose energetic and informative session left a lasting impression on everyone present.
