Asansol | August 27, 2026: In an initiative to nurture empathy, compassion and social responsibility among young learners, Techno India Group Public School, Asansol, organised a Community Service Visit to Swastik Old Age Home on August 27, 2026.
The visit offered students an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and connect with the elderly residents through meaningful interactions and shared moments of joy. As part of the visit, the students celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the residents, adding warmth and festive spirit to the occasion. The celebration created an atmosphere of togetherness, with students and residents sharing smiles, conversations and memorable moments.
Raksha Bandhan, traditionally celebrated to honour the bond between brothers and sisters, took on a deeper meaning during the visit. The celebration served as a reminder that the spirit of the festival is not limited to siblings alone, but also extends to those who have protected, guided and cared for us from our very first days. By celebrating with the elderly residents, the students expressed gratitude towards the people whose lives have been shaped by years of nurturing, sacrifice and care.
