Technothon Teams Shine at IHMMC 2026 with Innovation and Ingenuity

Techno India University continues to celebrate the spirit of innovation and hands-on learning as two of its dynamic student teams — BAHU-BALLA and 6-Star — delivered an impressive performance at the prestigious IHMMC (IoT + Hardware) Competition held at Asansol Engineering College. Competing among nearly 200 teams, both groups secured an admirable 8th position, marking a proud moment for the university’s growing legacy in technological excellence.

At the heart of this achievement lies the dedication and creativity of the Technothon Team, whose members transformed ideas into impactful, real-world solutions through perseverance and teamwork.

Team BAHU-BALLA, led by Pranav Raj Wardhan, stood out with their ambitious project — a Black Stealth Fighter Jet designed for spying and security applications. More than just a technical build, their journey reflected deep experiential learning. From understanding the complexities of aerodynamics to tackling real-time flight control challenges, the team embraced a hands-on approach that went beyond textbooks. Their work is a reminder that true engineering brilliance is often born in experimentation, persistence, and the courage to fail and try again.

The team comprised Pranav Raj Wardhan, Pralay Ghosh, D. Arun Kumar, Anwesha De, and Subhradwip Sidhanta – each contributing to a project that blended innovation with practical application.

Equally inspiring was Team 6-Star, led by Arijit Das, whose Gesture-Controlled Vehicle showcased the seamless integration of human interaction and machine intelligence. By enabling wireless control of a vehicle through simple hand gestures, the team presented a solution that is both intuitive and forward-thinking.

Their project carries meaningful real-world implications – from enhancing driver safety training and supporting rehabilitation therapies to creating engaging, screen-free educational tools for children. It is a powerful example of how technology can be designed not just for efficiency, but for accessibility and human impact.

The team included Arijit Das, Manjistha Chakraborty, Ansu Kumar Singh, Neelesh Roy, Saheli, and Anirban Ghosh, whose collaborative effort brought this innovative idea to life.

This achievement goes far beyond rankings. It reflects the essence of Techno India University’s learning philosophy – encouraging students to think boldly, build fearlessly, and innovate with purpose. From late-night brainstorming sessions to real-world execution, these teams have demonstrated what it truly means to turn passion into performance.

As these young innovators continue to push boundaries, one thing is certain – this is just the beginning. With bigger platforms ahead and even greater ideas in the making, the future of innovation at Techno looks brighter than ever.
