The IPR Club of Ramgarh Engineering College (REC), a part of the Techno India Group, under the supervision of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in collaboration with the Google Developer Group (GDG) on Campus – REC, successfully hosted the Hack2Hire Ideathon 2025 to celebrate National Education Day. The event served as a vibrant platform to promote innovation, technology-driven learning, and entrepreneurial thinking among aspiring engineers and young technocrats.
The Hack2Hire Ideathon aimed to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving by encouraging participants to develop prototype solutions across domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Cybersecurity, Renewable Energy, and Smart Systems. Students from various engineering departments participated with enthusiasm, presenting innovative ideas that could drive industrial, societal, and environmental transformation.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Sharbani Roy, Principal of Ramgarh Engineering College, who emphasized the importance of fostering an innovation ecosystem within the campus. “The Ideathon reflects our commitment to nurturing innovation and creative thinking among our students. Such events empower young minds to transform ideas into impactful solutions for real-world challenges,” she stated.






Dr. Nazmul Islam, Vice Principal of REC, highlighted the collaborative spirit of the participants, saying, “It is inspiring to see our students channel their creativity into solving practical problems. The Ideathon truly showcases the spirit of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning that defines our institution.”
With 32 teams from diverse engineering disciplines, the event witnessed exceptional energy and teamwork. Mentors from Google Developer Group and industry experts guided students through coding best practices, design thinking, UI/UX development, and startup readiness, offering them real-world insights and mentorship.
After multiple evaluation rounds including idea screening, technical validation, and final presentations, the top three teams were awarded for their outstanding performance:
🏆 1st Prize: Team Ultron — Aditya, Sachin, Sumit, Avanish
🥈 2nd Prize: Team Monk — Rahul, Bablu, Abhay Kumar Bauri, Ayush Khanna
🥉 3rd Prize: Team Tech Boys — Sadman, Krishna, Harsh, Manoj
The winners received certificates of excellence, prizes, and exclusive mentorship opportunities through GDG’s Hack2Hire Talent-Connect Initiative, which also opens pathways for recruitment and career development.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Vickey Pandey, DevRel at beetleX & Trikaya, lauded the event for bridging the gap between academia and industry. “Events like Hack2Hire are vital in transforming students into future innovators. It’s heartening to witness such enthusiasm for building practical, impactful, and scalable solutions,” he said.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Faculty Coordinator Pallab Das and Student Coordinator Aman Kumar, who expressed gratitude to all participants, mentors, judges, and sponsors. Faculty members including Mr. Arunabha Dutta, Dr. Ashish Narayan, Mr. Ashim Kumar Mahto, and Dr. Chandan Raj provided continuous support and guidance throughout the event.
The Hack2Hire Ideathon 2025 stood as a remarkable milestone in promoting innovation, skill development, and startup culture within Ramgarh Engineering College—proving once again that the next generation of engineers is ready to lead India’s technological revolution.
