On May 16, 2024, Techno India’s Ramgarh Engineering College, organised a free medical health checkup camp. The college, which is well-known for its dedication to social responsibility and holistic education, presently provides B.Tech degrees in five undergraduate departments, all of which follow the National Board for Accreditation‘s (NBA) requirements and the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) methodology. The camp, which was organised in partnership with the college’s NSS Unit and Paradise Clinic, aimed to raise awareness of health issues and offer necessary medical care to students, professors, and staff on campus.
The camp commenced at 11:30 am and witnessed active participation from the college community. The Deputy Director of Techno India Group, Jharkhand Project, Dr. Bishnu Chattopadhyay; Principal, Dr. Shrabani Roy; Vice Principal, Dr. Nazmul Islam; and NSS Coordinator, Mr. Rupam Kumar Pal, were among the first to undergo health check-ups, setting an encouraging example for others.
A variety of medical services were offered, such as blood pressure and sugar checks and consultations with Dr. D. Laha. In order to preserve excellent health, Dr. Bishnu Chattopadhyay stressed the value of physical activity and a balanced lifestyle. In addition to using medications, he counselled students to embrace good habits. Dr. Shrabani Roy, the principal, emphasised the college’s ongoing efforts to host these health camps and reinforced her dedication to encouraging students’ academic success as well as their physical health. The efficient organisation of the event was made possible by the faculty and student volunteers working together to make it a success. Regular medical camps are crucial for increasing health awareness and fostering wellbeing on campus, according to the NSS Coordinator. The effort was relevant and had an impact because of the college community’s active engagement.
Dr. D. Laha, the consulting doctor, provided valuable advice to students on maintaining healthy habits, while Arshad Ji from Paradise Clinic contributed significantly to the program’s organization.
Ramgarh Engineering College, which follows the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system in all five of its undergraduate departments and is prescribed by the National Board for Accreditation (NBA), continues to uphold its commitment to holistic development by prioritizing the health and wellness of its community members.
