The campus of Techno India University transformed into a vibrant hub of innovation, technology, and creativity during Vivarta 9.0, one of the most anticipated technical fests in Kolkata, held from 17th to 19th April 2026. Organized by Takshila – the official technical club of the university, the three-day fest brought together students, innovators, gamers, and aspiring entrepreneurs for an immersive experience in robotics, gaming, hackathons, and management events.
Day 1: Robotics, Gaming, and Technical Events Set the Stage
The opening day of Vivarta 9.0 delivered a high-energy start with a strong focus on technical competitions, robotics events, and entrepreneurship challenges.
The Innovation & Management domain featured Trade Up and Pitch to Deck, two flagship entrepreneurship events that encouraged startup ideas, business strategy, and innovation among students.






Simultaneously, the robotics and mechanical engineering events under Mechmania became major highlights. Competitions like Mechnovate, Sky Blast, Line Follower, Robo Soccer, Robo War, and Robotics Sumo showcased practical applications of engineering, automation, and robotics technology, making them standout attractions of this engineering fest in India.
The gaming tournament segment, powered by No Scope Gaming (NSG), emerged as a crowd favorite. Popular esports titles such as Valorant, BGMI, Free Fire, Chess, Phasmophobia, and FC drew massive participation, positioning Vivarta as a rising platform in the college esports scene in India.
Adding to the excitement, Red Bull enhanced the experience with a racing simulator setup and refreshments, while Canara Bank (title sponsor) and TVS Motor Company ensured strong industry presence through branding and engagement.
Day 2: Hackathon, Inauguration Ceremony, and Industry Collaboratio
Day 2 of Vivarta 9.0 elevated the fest with a perfect mix of hackathons, technical competitions, and formal recognition ceremonies.
The Hackathon event became a focal point, attracting talented coders and innovators working on real-world problem-solving, software development, and emerging technologies. Meanwhile, events like Scavenger Hunt added a fun yet strategic dimension, encouraging teamwork and critical thinking.
The much-awaited Inauguration Ceremony added prestige to the fest, with notable dignitaries including Atanu Raha, Ishan Ghosh, Sujoy Biswas, and Saikat Maitra.





The presence of representatives from IIT Roorkee highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration in technical education and innovation ecosystems. Guests like Ishita Mongia and Lalita Singh emphasized the role of technology hubs, training programs, and policy-driven innovation.
With continued support from Canara Bank and brand visibility from TVS Motor Company, Day 2 reinforced Vivarta’s identity as a leading technical fest in West Bengal.
Day 3: Esports Finals, CXO Talks, and Grand Closing Night
The final day of Vivarta 9.0 brought together leadership discussions, esports finals, and cultural celebrations, making it a perfect conclusion to one of the top college fests in Kolkata.
The CXO Round Table provided insights into corporate leadership, business strategy, and decision-making, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations.
The esports tournaments reached their peak, with the Valorant Grand Finals emerging as a major highlight. Organized in collaboration with NSG, the finals showcased top-tier competitive gaming, reinforcing Vivarta’s position in the growing Indian esports ecosystem.
Another standout attraction was the Super Bike Showcase, which highlighted automobile engineering, design innovation, and performance technology, captivating automobile enthusiasts across the campus.
The fest concluded with a high-energy DJ Night, celebrating three days of technology, innovation, gaming, and student engagement. With continuous support from Red Bull, Canara Bank and TVS Motor Company, the closing ceremony turned into a memorable celebration.
