EDGE Talks & Nights: Where Energy Met Emotion
The excitement reached its peak during EDGE Nights on 10th April, when Ashish Solanki took the stage. The sight of an overwhelming crowd gathered under the night sky – thousands of students united in laughter and anticipation – captured the true spirit of EDGE. The energy was electric, the connection was real, and in that moment, the campus transformed into a space of shared joy and unforgettable memories.
Following this high, EDGE Talks (11th April) brought a different yet equally powerful vibe, featuring Mir Afsar Ali, Chandril Bhattacharya, and Anindya Chatterjee. Their words blended humor, wisdom, and lived experiences, leaving the audience not just entertained but deeply inspired and reflective.

More Than Just Events – The Soul of College Life
EDGE is not remembered for its schedule or its scale – it is remembered for how it feels. Somewhere between unfinished assignments and endless group chats, a different version of college life quietly unfolds. It lives in late-night calls where ideas take shape, in hurried footsteps across campus, and in those uncertain moments when everything seems like it might fall apart – yet somehow comes together.
Organizing a fest like EDGE is never just about execution; it’s about resilience. It’s about showing up despite exhaustion, handling pressure without certainty, and trusting your team when things don’t go as planned. There’s a quiet courage in students who take on this responsibility – the kind that works behind the scenes, solves problems no one notices, and still stands strong when it matters the most.
And then come the moments that make it all worth it – the crowd cheering, the lights illuminating the night, the stage coming alive. In those few seconds, the chaos fades into pride, and a simple realization sets in – we created this. Long after the fest ends, it’s not just the events that remain, but the memories, the people, and the feeling of being part of something truly unforgettable.

A Legacy Strengthened by Community
Beyond competitions and performances, EDGE 2026 stood as a testament to the enduring legacy of Geekonix, backed by a powerful alumni network of over 1000 individuals spread across the globe.
The fest was brought to life by the relentless efforts of the Student Core Committee, led by Convenor Taqueur Rahaman and Co-Convenor Deep Biswas, alongside Atanu Ghosh (Member Acquisition & Admin Head), Ayan Das (Sponsorship Head), Fransis Sayan Majumdar (On-Site Management Head), Ananya Gayen and Didhiti Sarkar (Joint PR Heads), Arisudan Nandi (Resource Head) and numerous sub-club heads and coordinators.
Guiding them was the Teacher Committee, with Convenor Dr. Subhamita Mukherjee and Co-Convenors Prof. Shauvik Paul and Prof. Dibyendu Banerjee, along with other esteemed faculty members of the Technical Committee.

More Than a Fest — A Phenomenon
EDGE 2026 was not just an event – it was a celebration of courage, creativity, and community. It was about stepping out of comfort zones, building something meaningful, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As Geekonix completes 20 remarkable years, EDGE continues to shine brighter than ever… not just as a fest, but as an emotion that every Techno Main Salt Lake student carries forward.
