MACHINA 2026 Unveiled on International Women’s Day at Dumka Engineering College

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dumka Engineering College celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, with the proud unveiling of its annual departmental magazine, “MACHINA – Exploring the World of Mechanical Engineering.” The publication ceremony, held in the department’s Smart Classroom, reflected both academic excellence and a spirit of collaboration.

The event witnessed the presence of the Principal and Vice Principal, along with the Heads of the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering. Faculty members, student contributors, and members of the magazine committee gathered to mark the release of a publication that embodies months of dedication and teamwork.

The International Women’s Day edition of MACHINA 2026 goes beyond being a technical magazine—it serves as a platform for ideas, innovation, and expression. This special edition highlights the contributions of women in engineering while presenting a diverse mix of technical articles, research insights, and creative works contributed by both students and faculty.

A defining feature of this year’s publication was the enthusiastic involvement of students. From writing technical articles and creative pieces to managing editing, design, and coordination, students played a pivotal role in bringing the magazine to life. Their active participation transformed the publication into a collective showcase of talent and innovation within the department.

During the ceremony, the institutional leadership and Heads of Departments commended the efforts of the magazine committee and contributors. They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in encouraging students to explore beyond academic boundaries and engage in meaningful intellectual and creative pursuits.

To extend its reach, the magazine was also published on the department’s LinkedIn platform, allowing alumni, industry professionals, and the wider academic community to engage with the ideas and achievements featured in the edition.

The event concluded with the distribution of Certificates of Appreciation to faculty members and students who contributed significantly to the magazine and departmental activities. The successful release of MACHINA 2026 stands as a testament to the department’s commitment to fostering creativity, technical curiosity, and collaborative learning—hallmarks of a progressive academic environment.
