National Mathematics Day 2025 Celebrated with Academic Zeal at DEC

Dumka Engineering College, a part of the Techno India Group, celebrated National Mathematics Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and academic rigor on 22nd December 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The celebration reflected the institution’s strong emphasis on foundational knowledge and holistic technical education.

The event witnessed active participation from students across various engineering disciplines, underlining the vital role of mathematics in engineering education and professional practice. Over 200 students took part in this mega academic programme, showcasing their analytical abilities and creativity through a range of competitions, including PPT Presentations, Poster Presentations, Model Presentations, and Speech Competitions. The activities provided a dynamic platform for students to present innovative ideas, mathematical models, and problem-solving techniques linked to real-world engineering applications.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Ganesh Shankar emphasized that mathematics is the backbone of engineering and technological advancements. He highlighted that a strong mathematical foundation equips engineers with logical thinking and analytical skills essential for solving complex problems and designing efficient solutions. He lauded the efforts of both students and faculty members in making the event a success and encouraged students to continuously strengthen their mathematical aptitude.

Vice-Principal Dr. Ratan Kumar Bose, in his address, stressed the importance of National Mathematics Day in nurturing analytical thinking, creativity, and discipline among engineering students.
