Dumka Engineering College, a part of the Techno India Group, celebrated National Mathematics Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and academic rigor on 22nd December 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The celebration reflected the institution’s strong emphasis on foundational knowledge and holistic technical education.

Over 200 students took part in this mega academic programme, showcasing their analytical abilities and creativity through a range of competitions, including PPT Presentations, Poster Presentations, Model Presentations, and Speech Competitions. The activities provided a dynamic platform for students to present innovative ideas, mathematical models, and problem-solving techniques linked to real-world engineering applications.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Ganesh Shankar emphasized that mathematics is the backbone of engineering and technological advancements. He highlighted that a strong mathematical foundation equips engineers with logical thinking and analytical skills essential for solving complex problems and designing efficient solutions.
