On 20th December 2025, something shifted forever in the story of Techno India University.
For the first time, alumni didn’t come back to sign documents, pick certificates, or pose for hurried photographs — they came home.
The campus witnessed an emotional transformation as former students walked through its gates, greeted not by routine academic formality but by memories, music and familiar faces. The atmosphere was charged with excitement, warmth and nostalgia, marking TIU’s first-ever official Alumni Meet as a truly historic occasion.
From the very beginning, the evening felt deeply personal. Alumni reconnected with batchmates, shared stories of their journeys beyond college, and laughed at memories that time had failed to fade.
“It feels surreal to be back here after so many years,” shared one alumnus. “The campus looks familiar, but the emotions are overwhelming. It honestly feels like we never left.”

Adding to the excitement of the night was the much-anticipated performance by stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath. Known for his sharp observational humour, deadpan delivery and relatable storytelling, Rath has carved a unique space in India’s comedy scene — and at TIU, he struck an instant chord with the audience.
His set had the crowd laughing uncontrollably, as everyday adult struggles, career pressure and life’s absurdities unfolded into punchlines that felt uncomfortably familiar.
“We spend most of our lives being serious now,” said an alumna after the performance. “Tonight reminded us how easy it once was to laugh without a care.”
If comedy brought the laughs, music brought the memories. The energy of the evening reached new heights with the live performance by Adrija Saha. As she took the stage, the mood shifted from reflection to celebration. Her powerful vocals and infectious rhythm had alumni dancing wildly — just as they once did during college fests.
The dance floor turned into a time machine. Professionals with packed schedules forgot the years in between and moved like students again.
“I didn’t even realise when I started dancing,” laughed an alumnus. “For those few minutes, I was back in college — no responsibilities, just music and friends.”

Many attendees later reflected on how Adrija Saha’s performance awakened a version of themselves they rarely meet anymore. “This is the version of us we miss,” shared another alumna. “Tonight helped us reconnect with that side of ourselves.”
The evening also featured a warm and meaningful moment when Meghdut joined the celebration to personally greet the alumni. His presence added emotional depth to the gathering, symbolising recognition, pride and continuity, and reinforcing that every graduate remains an integral part of TIU’s legacy.
Across the campus, quiet reunions unfolded alongside loud celebrations. Seniors embraced juniors, friends resumed conversations as if no time had passed, and many alumni found themselves emotional — reconnecting not only with people, but with memories they thought they had outgrown.
As the night drew to a close, alumni left the campus with tired feet, full hearts and smiling faces. The first-ever Alumni Meet of Techno India University was not merely an event — it was the beginning of a tradition, one rooted in belonging, nostalgia and pride, and destined to grow stronger with every passing year.
