The festive spirit came alive at Techno India University as The Biryani Canteen 2 hosted its first-ever Fruit Cake Mixing Ceremony on 9th December 2025 at the TBC 2 Canteen, TIU Main Campus. The event marked a delightful start to the Christmas season, embracing togetherness, celebration, and warmth.
The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, along with several distinguished faculty members. Their enthusiastic involvement elevated the festive atmosphere and inspired everyone present.
A large number of students attended the ceremony, and their excitement added a fresh vibrancy to the event. For many of them, this was their first time experiencing a fruit cake mixing ritual, which made the moment even more special. Students expressed awe and curiosity as they learned about the tradition, and their enthusiasm was evident as they eagerly joined the mixing process. The lively interactions, laughter, and shared festive spirit created unforgettable memories and strengthened the sense of community on campus.
Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Manoshi RoyChowdhury ma’am shared,

The ceremony featured bowls of assorted dry fruits, nuts, spices, and flavourful ingredients arranged beautifully. Participants—students, faculty, and leaders alike—joined hands to mix the ingredients, symbolizing harmony and shared celebration.
Faculty members appreciated the initiative, highlighting how such events enrich campus culture and create memorable experiences for students. Many students shared that this was one of the most enjoyable beginnings to the Christmas season they had experienced on campus.
