Ramgarh, Jharkhand | June 24, 2025: In a strong step towards promoting a healthier and more responsible campus environment, Ramgarh Engineering College (REC), ap part of Techno India Group, organized a powerful Anti-Drug Awareness Program on June 24, 2025. Held in the college’s main seminar hall, the initiative brought together students, faculty, and law enforcement officers with the shared goal of spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
The event was spearheaded by the college’s Anti-Drug Committee, in collaboration with Rajrappa Police Station and supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
The program began with a warm welcome by the organizing faculty, followed by an opening address from Dr. Sharbani Roy, Principal of REC. She spoke passionately about the need to educate students about the harmful effects of drug use and thanked the police department for their active participation.
“We are grateful to Rajrappa Police for taking time to guide our students. Programs like these are essential to shape a generation that chooses health, awareness, and responsibility,” she said.



The chief guest, Shri Krishna Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajrappa Police Station, delivered a hard-hitting and impactful speech. He shared real-life stories from his work, detailing the emotional, physical, and legal consequences of drug abuse.
“Drugs don’t just destroy individuals—they break families, friendships, and futures. It only takes one wrong decision,” he warned, urging students to make informed choices.
Dr. Nazmul Islam, Vice Principal of REC, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the speakers, faculty members, and student volunteers who made the event a success.
“Creating a drug-free campus is a shared responsibility,” he said. “We must all work together—with awareness, empathy, and vigilance.”
Over 100 students from various engineering streams attended the program. Engaged and thoughtful, they participated in an open Q&A session and reflected deeply on the messages shared. Many took a pledge to stay away from drugs and encourage their peers to do the same.
The event concluded with a meaningful signature campaign, where students, staff, and faculty signed a pledge wall to express their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. This symbolic gesture turned into a moment of unity, as the REC community stood together for a shared cause.
