Ramgarh Engineering College Celebrates International Yoga Day with Harmony and Heart

Ramgarh Engineering College (REC), under the esteemed Techno India Group, marked the 11th International Yoga Day with great spirit, warmth, and energy on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The celebration took place at the college campus in Murubanda, Jharkhand, with a beautiful blend of physical presence and online participation, allowing students from across locations to join in from the comfort of their homes.

The day began early in the morning at 6:30 AM, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere on the college ground. Soft background music and the cool breeze set the perfect tone for a morning of wellness. The essence of the event was not just in practicing yoga, but in spreading awareness about its deep-rooted benefits—both for the individual and for society.

The event was led by Mr. Pranav Pandey, who guided the participants through a well-structured session including a series of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques. These activities aimed to harmonize the body, mind, and soul, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and centered.

Over 150 students and faculty members actively participated in the event. Many students who couldn’t attend in person joined from home through an online platform, making it a hybrid celebration. This virtual inclusion allowed the message of yoga to reach wider audiences, demonstrating how technology and tradition can go hand in hand.

Dr. Sharbani Roy, the Principal of REC, expressed the deeper meaning of the day by saying, “Yoga is India’s gift to the world. It not only enhances our physical health but also strengthens our inner peace and focus — crucial for engineers and scholars alike.”

The Vice Principal, Dr. Nazmul Islam, added, “The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body. We always try to motivate our students to participate in such inspirational events.”

Media Coordinator Mr. Pallab Das emphasized the college’s commitment to student well-being, stating, “Ramgarh Engineering College continues to uphold the holistic development of its students through such meaningful initiatives, blending education with health and wellness.”

The event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Nilesh Kumar, with dedicated support from faculty members Dr. Shiv Kumar, Mr. Gourav Datta, and Mr. Amrit Raj.

Yoga: A Gift to the Mind, Body, and Nature

The celebration wasn’t just about physical health. It was a reminder of how yoga supports mental clarity, reduces stress and anxiety, and encourages emotional stability—traits every student and professional needs in today’s fast-paced world.

Yoga also teaches us to be in sync with nature, to breathe deeply, to respect our bodies, and to live mindfully. Practicing yoga regularly fosters not only personal well-being, but also encourages a sustainable and peaceful environment. By living with awareness, we become more conscious of how we treat ourselves, others, and the planet.

The event concluded with a heartfelt pledge taken by all participants—to incorporate yoga into daily life and inspire friends, family, and communities to do the same. This International Yoga Day left everyone feeling more connected—not just to their bodies, but to a greater purpose of living with balance, compassion, and mindfulness.

Ramgarh Engineering College’s Yoga Day celebration was a beautiful reminder that education is not just about books and lectures—it’s about growing as human beings, nurturing our inner selves, and striving for harmony in everything we do.
