Third Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Interact Club at Techno India Group Public School, Garia: A Day of Pride, Reflection, and New Beginnings

On October 4th, 2024, Techno India Group Public School, Garia, proudly hosted the Third Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Interact Club. The event, presided over by the school’s Principal and Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, marked another significant chapter in the club’s journey of service and leadership, continuing the legacy established since its inauguration in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Calcutta Majestic.

The occasion was graced by an array of esteemed guests, including Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group, Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, District Governor Dr. Krishnendu Gupta, District Interact Committee Chair Rtn. Arpita Chatterjee, Past District Governors Prabir Chatterjee and Rajani Mukherjee, and several prominent Rotarians such as Rtn. Shirsherdu Neogi, President of Rotary Club of Calcutta Majestic, Rtn. Simmi Barua, Rtn. Annapurna Roy Chowdhury, Rtn. Ballari Mukherjee, Rtn. Neena Mishra, and Rtn. Bulbul Kundu.

The ceremony began with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, accompanied by a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana performed by the talented students of the school. This spiritual beginning was followed by two mesmerizing dance performances that symbolized empowerment and resilience, setting the stage for the meaningful proceedings ahead.

The event’s momentum continued with words of wisdom and encouragement from the Principal and Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, who inspired the students to embrace their roles as future leaders and active community members. Their speeches highlighted the importance of service, compassion, and the Rotary Interact Club’s core value of “Service Above Self.”

Following these inspiring messages, the felicitation ceremony took place, celebrating the contributions of the outgoing members and welcoming the incoming leaders. This was followed by a special musical performance by Saloni Roy, Class XII Topper of 2024, alongside Tuhin Mazumder, the outgoing Vice President of the Interact Club. Their duet captured the essence of teamwork and camaraderie, leaving the audience moved.

Outgoing President Sritama Kundu reflected on the 2023-24 session, highlighting the club’s achievements and expressing gratitude for the opportunity to lead. In her emotional farewell, she emphasized the lasting bond with the club, stating, “Once an Interactor, always an Interactor,” as she handed over leadership to her successor.

With grace and humility, Sritama passed the collar and charter to the newly elected President, Ishwar Surolia Sharma, who then led the investiture ceremony for the new board members. Ishwar also took this opportunity to announce the agenda for the coming year, outlining new goals and initiatives that promise to further elevate the club’s impact and reach.

The ceremony concluded with words of wisdom from the dignitaries, most notably Rtn. Prabir Mukherjee, who imparted a powerful message:Kuch paane ke liye kuch khona nahi, kuch karna padta hai”. His words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression on the new board members and attendees alike.

As the Third Installation Ceremony drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of both reflection and excitement for the future.
