The Fest That Took Over Everything – Sahotsava’26

Some fests happen. Some fests live. Techno Sahotsava'26 was undeniably the latter.

The official cultural fest of Techno India University, organized by the ever-passionate Team Sanskaran, turned the campus into something unrecognizable in the best possible way. For three straight days, the air buzzed with creativity, the ground vibrated with music, and every corner of the university came alive with talent, energy, and the kind of magic you can’t manufacture, only feel.

Day 1 | 9th May 2026: The Spark That Started the Fire

Nobody does opening energy quite like Sahotsava’26, and 9th May 2026 proved exactly that.

From the moment the gates opened, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an ordinary fest. Events like Swarangini, Beat Odyssey, Echo Storm, Nrityarasa, Step Up, Mock & Rock, and Rangmanch brought waves of performers pouring onto stages, singers hitting notes that gave you chills, dancers moving like they were born on that floor, and theatre artists commanding the room like seasoned veterans.

Then came the Calcutta Comedy Company.

Saquib Saeed, Surya Singh, and Aditya Prakash took the stage and owned it. The laughter was loud, the crowd was hooked, and for a little while, nothing else in the world existed except the jokes flying across the auditorium.

The day concluded with a guest band performance that sent the energy through the roof. Day 1 didn’t ease anyone in it threw everyone into the deep end, and they loved every second of it.

Day 2 | 10th May 2026: Bigger, Bolder, Louder

Just when you thought the fest couldn’t top itself, Day 2 walked in wearing a crown.

Fashion, drama, literary battles, and dance showcases packed the schedule from morning to evening. Regal Runway, Urban Rift, Reign of Sahotsava, Pet Walk, and Hok Kolorob drew enthusiastic participation and even bigger crowds. The creative energy was everywhere in the performances, in the audience, and in the vibrant atmosphere that filled the campus.

Every event reflected the enthusiasm and passion of the participants, making Day 2 a perfect blend of competition, creativity, and celebration.

Day 3 | 11th May 2026: Going Out in a Blaze of Glory

The final day carried the same relentless energy the fest had built across the first two days and refused to slow down for even a second.

Jhankaar, Battle of Fiesta, Verbal Carnage, Rhythm Reigns, along with literary, artistic, and filmmaking competitions, showcased the incredible diversity of talent within the university. Every performance, every presentation, and every competition added another unforgettable chapter to Sahotsava’26.

As night fell, Rapper Raghav (Raghav Agarwal) took over the stage for the grand finale.

What followed was less a performance and more a moment of collective euphoria. The crowd sang, danced, and celebrated together as three days of excitement culminated in one electrifying closing act. By the time it ended, nobody wanted to leave, because leaving meant the festival had truly come to an end.

A Grand Musical Evening | 7th June 2026

While the three-day cultural fest concluded on 11th May, the celebrations continued with a special musical evening on 7th June 2026, featuring the immensely popular The Nandy Sisters – Antara Nandy and Ankita Nandy.

The duo transformed the evening into a soulful musical celebration with their captivating vocals, infectious energy, and remarkable stage presence. As they performed one beloved song after another, the audience sang along, illuminated the venue with thousands of phone flashlights, and created an atmosphere filled with joy, nostalgia, and togetherness.

More than just a concert, the evening became an unforgettable celebration of music and one of the most cherished moments associated with Sahotsava’26, bringing the university community together long after the festival had concluded.

The Judges Who Made It Matter

Behind every memorable competition was a panel of distinguished judges who brought experience, credibility, and encouragement to every performance.

Argho Biswas, Jimmy Tangree, Sagnik Dutta, Sushmita Das, Arghadeep Banerjee, Souvikk, Avinanda Roy, and Trishik Bose evaluated participants with fairness and thoughtful feedback, inspiring students to continue pursuing excellence in their respective fields.
