Dumka Engineering College, part of the Techno India Group, observed Parakram Diwas 2026 on 23 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, commemorating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The celebration witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff, creating an atmosphere of national pride across the campus.
More than 1,500 students actively took part in the celebration through a variety of engaging and competitive events, including Poster Presentation, Model Presentation, Patriotic Singing, and Speech Competitions. These activities provided students with a platform to express how engineering, innovation, and leadership can contribute to national development, reflecting the ideals of bravery, discipline, and self-reliance strongly associated with Netaji.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Ganesh Shankar emphasized the relevance of Parakram Diwas in the journey of an engineer. He highlighted that engineers must adopt the spirit of courage, discipline, and commitment while contributing to national infrastructure, technological advancement, and sustainable growth. He noted that Netaji’s teachings continue to inspire students to work selflessly for the progress and development of the nation.






In his address, Vice-Principal Dr. Ratan Kumar Bose remarked that Parakram Diwas serves as a powerful reminder of the responsibility of youth in shaping the future of India. He stated that such events encourage engineering students to develop leadership qualities, ethical values, confidence, and teamwork, alongside technical excellence—qualities essential for responsible professionals in today’s technological era.
Sharing an innovation-driven perspective, Institution Innovation Council (IIC) President Prof. Pankaj Sarkar emphasized that patriotism-driven innovation and engineering solutions are crucial for nation-building. He stated that the life and vision of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose motivate young engineers to think independently, innovate fearlessly, and apply their technical knowledge for societal welfare and national development. Participation in such programmes, he added, enhances technical, creative, and communication skills while strengthening moral character and a strong sense of national responsibility.
The Parakram Diwas 2026 celebration at Dumka Engineering College successfully conveyed the importance of combining technological competence with courage, integrity, and service to the nation. The programme stood as a fitting tribute to the indomitable spirit of Netaji and inspired students to walk the path of innovation, responsibility, and national service.
