Kolkata, November 5, 2025: Techno India University proudly hosted the Dronacharya Awards Ceremony, a grand celebration dedicated to honouring the guiding lights of education — our teachers. The event, held at the University’s Seminar Hall in Salt Lake, recognized 400 distinguished Heads of Institutions, Subject Teachers, and Chief Coordinators from 23 districts of West Bengal for their remarkable contributions to education.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Ujjal Biswas, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Science, Technology & Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal; Ms. Darshana Banik, Actress; Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group and Co-Chancellor, Techno India University; Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharya, Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University and President, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education; and Ms. Pauline Laravoire, Sustainability Director, Techno India Group.
Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury reflected on the vital role of educators, stating, “The Dronacharya awardees are the true architects of our society. They don’t just impart knowledge; they ignite thought, creativity, and moral values that guide the next generation of leaders… We must instil strong values in children during their school years — that is the true responsibility of teachers. Without education, neither a state nor a nation can progress.”
Mr. Meghdut RoyChowdhury, Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Director of Techno India Group, emphasized the connection between innovation and inspiration. “Our Dronacharya Award recipients are the bridge between potential and progress. They are shaping students for the global challenges of tomorrow,” he noted.
Sharing his thoughts on the foundation of learning, Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharya remarked, “I always believe that school serves as the stepping stone — the very foundation for all higher studies.”
They were honoured with medals and certificates, presented by Mr. Ujjal Biswas, Ms. Darshana Banik, Dr. Chiranjib Bhattacharya, Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, and Ms. Pauline Laravoire, in recognition of their exceptional dedication to the cause of education.
