On June 27th, 2025, and again on July 5th for Ulto Rath, the Techno India family came together to celebrate one of the most sacred and culturally rich festivals of India—Rath Yatra, right in the heart of the Techno Main campus. For the very first time, the vibrant chants of “Jai Jagannath!” echoed through the corridors as faculty, employees and staff embraced tradition, culture, and community in a spirited and joyous celebration.
Rath Yatra, meaning “chariot journey,” is an annual festival that commemorates the divine journey of Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra, from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple in grandly decorated chariots. Celebrated primarily in Puri, Odisha, the festival symbolizes unity, devotion, and the cyclical nature of life—marked first by the forward journey (Rath Yatra) and later the return (Ulto Rath). It is a powerful reminder of faith in motion, where devotees come together not just to pull the chariots, but to pull their hearts closer to their roots.

At Techno Main campus, the Rath was beautifully adorned with flowers, garlands, and divine idols, prepared lovingly by students and staff. What made the celebration even more delightful was the Live counters at The Biryani Canteen 2, serving traditional festive treats like piping-hot jalebis, crispy papads, mishit gojja, and the ever-popular phuchka. The mouth-watering treats brought a touch of nostalgia and warmth to the occasion, turning the celebration into a complete sensory experience.
The atmosphere was filled with warm smiles, cheerful laughter, and a sense of peaceful devotion. It was one of those rare moments when everyone paused from their busy routines to simply come together and celebrate something bigger than themselves. Through this beautiful celebration, Techno India showed how tradition and modernity can walk hand in hand. Our very first Rath Yatra on campus wasn’t just an event—it felt like a heartfelt return to our roots, a reminder of who we are, and a lovely way to strengthen the bonds that make our community feel like family.
Together, as one Techno India family, we celebrated not just a ritual—but a heartfelt tradition that will now become an annual part of our cultural landscape.
