Kolkata, 11th December 2024 – The fourth edition of Techno Olympica Knights commenced yesterday with unmatched enthusiasm and grandeur, uniting students from across West Bengal in a celebration of sportsmanship, talent, and camaraderie. Organized by the Techno India Group, this inter-school sports extravaganza will run from 11th to 16th December 2024, featuring over 1,700 students from 105+ schools representing all educational boards.
The event began with a vibrant student parade, where participants proudly marched, holding banners with their school names. The sight of students from classes I to XII walking together in perfect harmony set the tone for the spirit of teamwork and friendly competition that defines Techno Olympica Knights.



The opening ceremony was filled with awe-inspiring moments. Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group; Ms. Anjum Moudgil, Olympian and shooter; and Ms. Pauline Laravoire, Sustainability Director at Y East, marked the beginning of the event with a symbolic gesture. Together, they set free birds, a moving representation of hope, freedom, and limitless potential for every student.
Adding to the excitement, the Olympica Torch was lit, signifying the official start of the sports competitions. The lighting of the torch was a powerful moment, symbolizing passion, energy, and the pursuit of excellence that drives every young athlete. The morning saw an exciting chess competition, with young minds showcasing their strategic brilliance.



The opening ceremony reached new heights of energy with a spectacular dance performance by students of Techno India Group Academia South Kolkata (TIGASK). Their fiery moves dazzled the audience and earned thunderous applause, making the ceremony even more unforgettable. Students from Techno India Group Public Schools also came together to perform the official Techno Olympica Anthem, creating a sense of unity and pride among all attendees.
This year’s edition of Techno Olympica Knights includes a wide range of sporting events for boys and girls, including archery, basketball, kabaddi, football, chess, swimming, table tennis, relay races, and more. Held at prominent venues across Kolkata, the event offers young athletes a platform to display their talents and learn valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and resilience.


Speaking at the event, Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury shared her vision: “Techno Olympica Knights is more than just a sports competition—it’s a platform for young minds to embrace the transformative power of sports. Through this event, we not only nurture talent but also promote values such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Through Techno Olympica knights we aim to encourage every student to dream big and embrace the transformative power of sports.”

- 1st Prize: ₹50,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹30,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹20,000
- 4th Prize: ₹5,000
