Campus Flea Market 4.0: Celebrating Poila Boishakh with Creativity & Enterprise

A new year, a new courage to begin

Campus Flea 4.0 – Addar Boishakh Edition brought an electrifying wave of energy to Techno India Campus, as the two-day celebration unfolded on 16th–17th April at The Biryani Canteen. With student-run pop-up stalls spanning art, fashion, food, and lifestyle, the campus transformed into a lively hub of creativity, entrepreneurship, and community spirit.

The arrival of Poila Boishakh brings a sense of new beginnings and fresh energy. It resonates with the journey of entrepreneurship, where every start is filled with possibility. It encourages stepping forward with confidence and creativity. Just like a new year, every idea has the power to grow. A celebration of both culture and courage.

Adding to the flea’s vibrant energy, the open mic segment brought a creative pulse to the event, as students took the stage to share music, poetry, and spoken word. It became a space for raw expression and connection, where voices, stories, and performances added a soulful layer to the entrepreneurial spirit of the campus.

Handmade & Creative Expression

Petalia, a handmade crochet brand by Ivee Dev and Diya Jha, brought warmth and creativity to the flea as they shared, “Together, we started our brand Petalia, where we create handmade crochet products with a lot of love and creativity. Every item we offer is completely handmade – from our crochet pieces to even our handcrafted flower bouquets, making each product truly unique. We put up our stall at the Flea Market for the first time, and the experience was amazing. Within just one hour, all our products were out of stock, which was beyond what we expected. Our best-selling products were our crochet keychains and flower bouquets, which everyone really loved. We are now eagerly waiting for the next day and are excited to come back with more. Thank you to TIU for this wonderful opportunity”.

Vibgyor, a small handmade venture by Rupangi Sarkar, reflects her passion for art as she shared, “I run my own small venture called Vibjior, where I create and sell handmade products crafted with clay, resin, and embroidery paintings. This is my second time participating in the flea market, and the experience has been even more exciting and fulfilling than before. For me, every piece I make carries a part of my creativity and patience, and that’s what makes handmade art so special. At my stall, my best-selling products have been magnets, along with posters and photo holders, which people really seem to connect with. It feels amazing to see something I created with my own hands bring a smile to someone else’s face. This journey started as a passion, but now it’s slowly turning into something more meaningful, where I get to express myself and share my work with others. Being here and interacting with people has been a wonderful experience, and I’m really grateful for the love and support“.

Sadhana, a handmade resin jewellery brand by Neha Paul, expressed, “My brand, Sadhana, focuses on handmade resin jewellery, where every piece is crafted with care and creativity. My best-selling products have been my phone charms, which people have really loved for their unique and aesthetic appeal. For me, it’s not just about jewellery, it’s about creating something that people can carry with them every day. The experience has been truly amazing – I really enjoyed interacting with new people, understanding their choices, and showcasing my work. Seeing people appreciate something made by hand is the most rewarding feeling. A big thank you to Techno India University for giving us this wonderful opportunity to grow and express ourselves“.

Gifting & Lifestyle: Aesthetic Meets Identity

The Tiny Store, a startup by Pragati Lohia along with her friends Richa Singh, Udayendu Das, Tej Pratap Singh, and Aditya Rai, added a vibrant and expressive touch to the flea as they shared, “Today we are at Campus Flea 4.0, presenting our startup brand, The Tiny Store. Let me begin by asking you a simple question – have you ever bought something that instantly made your whole day better? Well, that’s exactly what our store is about. We offer cute, minimal, and meaningful items like keychains, keyrings, stickers, and couple rings. You know how people find unique ways to express themselves and their vibes through stickers – that’s probably why stickers have become the fastest-selling product at our store. What started as a fun activity among friends gradually turned into something much bigger, as we learned not to underestimate ourselves and understood how to actually run something of our own. The experience so far has been amazing… interacting with real customers, understanding their preferences, and seeing the happiness our products bring to their faces feels truly wholesome

PS Fabric Jewels, run by Priya Saha, introduced an engaging and interactive concept at the flea as she shared, “We have set up our stall here at TBC’ Campus flea market. At this stall, we are mainly showcasing our customized jewellery collection. We also have a small Instagram presence under the name PS Fabric Jewels. Our most popular product today has been the mystery box, which has attracted a lot of visitors. Each mystery box is priced at Rs. 50, and it adds an element of surprise – out of 9 boxes, 8 contain exciting gifts while 1 box is empty, making it even more thrilling for customers. People are really enjoying the experience and the anticipation of what they might get. This is our first time putting up a stall on this campus, and the experience has been truly amazing. If we get the opportunity again, we would definitely love to come back. A big thank you to Techno India University for this platform.”

Mayawa.in, a clothing brand by Tanisha Gupta, returned to the flea with great enthusiasm as she shared, “This is my second time participating, and just like last time, it’s turning out to be a hit. The response from the crowd has been amazing, and it feels great to see such enthusiasm. My best-selling product has been my cotton fitted shirts, which have received a lot of love, and along with that, my halter neck designs are also selling really well. It’s only been one day, and I’ve already had such an incredible experience… I can’t even imagine how the next day will turn out. Being able to showcase my brand and connect with people has been truly exciting“.

Prem with Frame, a creative brand by Sayantika Das, beautifully blended art and fandom at the flea as she shared, “This is my second time participating, and the experience just keeps getting better each time. I truly enjoyed being a part of the flea market – interacting with customers, showcasing my products, and seeing people appreciate my work has been incredibly fulfilling. At my stall, I offer a variety of aesthetic framed artworks, including anime frames, pop-culture frames, and customized mini photo frames. Some of the highlighted pieces include anime character frames inspired by popular series, vibrant graphic art prints, and even creative collectibles like miniature display setups featuring items such as Batmobile-themed pieces. There’s something really special about turning art and fandom into something you can hold and display. The energy, the crowd, and the overall vibe have made this experience even more memorable. I would like to sincerely thank Techno India University, the Biryani Canteen for giving us this wonderful opportunity to grow and present our ideas like real entrepreneurs“.

Alankriti, a brand by Aditi Kuliya, reflected elegance and creativity as she expressed, “Through my brand, I showcase a range of beautifully crafted pieces that reflect creativity and elegance. For me, every product is a blend of art and expression. The experience of being here has been truly wonderful… interacting with people, understanding their preferences, and seeing them appreciate my work has been very fulfilling. It feels amazing to turn your passion into something people connect with. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and the platform to present my brand”.

Food & Sweet Delights

Roshni’s Little Oven, a home bakery by Roshni Khoshal, added a sweet charm to the flea as she shared, “This is my second time participating, which makes the experience even more special. My best-selling items are my cheesecakes, especially the Biscoff and Oreo cheesecakes, which have been getting a lot of love from everyone. Baking has always been my passion, and it feels amazing to share that with people and see them enjoy it. Interacting with customers and seeing their reactions has made this journey even more memorable. There’s nothing better than watching someone smile after taking a bite”.

Campus Flea 4.0 stood as a celebration of student spirit in its truest form – where ideas stepped out of notebooks and turned into real, tangible experiences. It wasn’t just about selling products, but about building confidence, taking risks, and learning what it truly means to create something of your own.

What made the flea memorable was the sense of ownership each student carried – the pride of setting up a stall, the excitement of the first sale, and the joy of seeing people connect with their work.

As the event came to a close, one thing was clear – this wasn’t just a fleeting campus activity, but a growing culture of entrepreneurship. At Techno India University, platforms like these are not just events; they are stepping stones where passion begins to shape into purpose.
