Dumka Engineering College, a part of Techno India Group, successfully organized a pool campus placement drive on its premises, providing a significant opportunity for aspiring engineers of the 2026 passing-out batch on 9th March 2026. The recruitment drive was conducted by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), one of the leading infrastructure companies in the country.
The placement drive was open to B.Tech students from Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Electrical Engineering (EE) streams. Apart from the host institution, students from Chaibasa Engineering College, Ramgarh Engineering College, and SBU Ranchi also participated in the drive.
A total of 77 eligible students appeared for the recruitment process. The selection procedure consisted of two rounds: a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by a combined Technical and HR Interview. Four company personnel from MEIL conducted the entire selection process efficiently.






Out of the total candidates, 40 students were successfully selected after the completion of both rounds. Notably, 25 students from Dumka Engineering College secured placements, marking a commendable achievement for the institution.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sudipta Chakraborty, Director (Jharkhand) Techno India Group. Representatives from the Central Placement Cell of TIG, Mr. Abhijit Chakraborty and Mr. Arun Sahoo, along Mr. Somnath Roy, representative of HO, were also present during the drive and played a vital role in ensuring its smooth execution.
From Dumka Engineering College, the drive was organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Ganesh Shankar, with active support from Vice-Principal Dr. Ratan Kumar Bose and Placement Coordinator Dr. Ranadeep Dey. Heads of Departments (HODs) and faculty members from various departments were also present to facilitate and oversee the proceedings.



The company representatives expressed their satisfaction with the overall arrangements and appreciated the quality, discipline, and technical competence of the participating students. Their positive feedback highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and industry readiness.
The college administration expressed its enthusiasm in organizing such pool campus drives and conveyed its interest in hosting MEIL again in the coming years. The Heads of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering departments also expressed their delight over the successful placement of their students.
This placement drive stands as a testament to Dumka Engineering College’s continuous efforts in bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring promising career opportunities for its students.
