In a vibrant step toward strengthening industry-academia connections, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Ramgarh Engineering College, part of Techno India Group, hosted an engaging Meet & Greet session on 24 March that brought global insights right into the classroom. Designed as an interactive alumni connect, the session created a powerful platform for students to learn, reflect, and envision their future in core electronics.
The highlight of the session was the presence of Jitendra Kumar, an alumnus from the 2015–2019 ECE batch, who is currently working as a Lead Analog & Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer and researcher at Technologiepark Ostbrandenburg, Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. Returning to his alma mater, he shared his inspiring journey from Ramgarh to an international semiconductor ecosystem, offering students a real-world perspective on what it takes to succeed globally.
Drawing from his professional experience, he provided deep insights into the evolving landscape of VLSI design and semiconductor technologies. He emphasized the importance of building strong fundamentals in electronics, while also encouraging students to actively develop practical skills in areas such as FPGA design, ASIC design flow, and verification methodologies. His session highlighted how consistency, curiosity, and hands-on exposure can open doors to global opportunities, particularly in emerging European tech hubs.

The interaction quickly turned into a lively exchange, with students actively engaging in discussions around higher education pathways, preparation strategies for core electronics roles, and navigating international career opportunities. The openness of the session allowed students to gain clarity and confidence about their career trajectories.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Sharbani Roy underlined the importance of such initiatives, noting that meaningful engagement with accomplished alumni helps students align their academic learning with industry expectations. Vice Principal Dr. Nazmul Islam echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that exposure to real-world experiences plays a crucial role in shaping technically competent and future-ready engineers.
The Head of the ECE Department, Mr. Nilesh Kumar, expressed gratitude to the speaker for sharing his valuable insights and acknowledged the collective efforts of the faculty and organizing team in making the session a success. Faculty members including Pallab Das, Ayani Nandi, Abhishek Kumar, Kamal Ahmed, Sanat Kumar, and Gourab Dutta were present, contributing to the enriching academic environment.
Held at the ECE Smart Classroom, the session reflected the department’s continued commitment to fostering practical learning experiences beyond textbooks. More than just a seminar, the event stood as a reminder that with the right guidance and determination, journeys from local classrooms can truly reach global platforms.
Through such initiatives, Ramgarh Engineering College, part of Techno India Group, continues to empower its students to dream bigger, aim higher, and step confidently into the future of technology.
