Manoshi RoyChowdhury Leads ‘Shaping Legacies’ at The Bengal Chamber

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Women’s Forum recently hosted an inspiring evening titled “Shaping Legacies: Conversations on Leadership & Creativity” at Williamson Magor Hall, bringing together voices from diverse professional spheres to celebrate leadership, creativity, and purposeful dialogue. Supported by Techno India Group and Techno India University, West Bengal, the event reflected the institution’s continued commitment to empowering conversations that inspire innovation and social change.

Sharing her reflections on the initiative, Manoshi RoyChowdhury, Co-Chairperson of the The Techno India Group, expressed, “When I was approached by The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry for heading the Women’s Forum, little did I realize that together we would curate such a wonderful event — one supported by powerful women around us.” Her words captured the collaborative spirit that defined the evening.

The panel featured eminent personalities including Ms. Debashree Roy, Ms. Rochita Dey, Ms. Rashi, Ms. Paroma Neotia, and Smita Roychowdhury, who explored themes of work–life balance, entrepreneurship, creativity, and self-expression. The discussion highlighted that true success goes beyond professional milestones and lies in achieving harmony between ambition and well-being.

A highlight of the programme was the fireside chat with renowned dancer Tanusree Shankar. Guided by Manoshi RoyChowdhury, the session unfolded as an intimate and reflective conversation. Describing the experience, she shared, “It was truly a privilege for me to lead the conversation… the exchange felt less like a formal dialogue and more like a soulful conversation — intimate, insightful, and deeply inspiring.”

During the interaction, Tanusree Shankar spoke candidly about creativity as a way of life, emphasizing discipline, resilience, and reinvention as the pillars of an artistic journey. She reflected on carrying forward a powerful legacy while shaping her own identity — a narrative that resonated deeply with the audience.

As the evening concluded, the essence of the event echoed through Manoshi RoyChowdhury’s powerful reflection: “Legacies are not built in grand moments alone, but in everyday choices of courage and compassion.” The gathering stood as a testament to Techno India’s vision of fostering meaningful platforms where leadership meets creativity, inspiring individuals to shape impactful futures.
