The fourth edition of the Techno India Group Premier League Shield (TIGPL Shield) 2026, as proudly showcased in the official tournament poster, concluded on a high note on 9th and 10th January 2026 at the Techno India Salt Lake Campus. Over two action-packed days, the campus resonated with cheers, applause, and an electrifying cricketing atmosphere, celebrating not just the sport but also unity, discipline, and healthy competition within the Techno India Group.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 teams, making the league one of the most dynamic sporting events organized under the Techno India umbrella. The competing teams included Offbeat CCU, TMSL, TIU, TI Corporate 1, TI Corporate 2, ICEI, TIGPS 1, TIGPS 2, TIGPS Corporate, DAMA, Banipur, TI Hooghly, JHK 1, JHK 2, TBIT, and JLD Group. Each team brought its own strategy, energy, and fighting spirit to the field, making every match an engaging spectacle.
As the league progressed, the intensity rose with every over. After a series of closely fought encounters, four formidable teams—DAMA, Offbeat CCU, TIGPS 2, and TIU—secured their spots in the semi-finals. The semi-final matches proved to be a true test of skill and composure, with players stepping up under pressure and delivering standout performances.






The grand finale, played between DAMA and TIGPS 2, lived up to expectations and kept spectators on the edge of their seats till the very last ball. Batting first, DAMA put up an impressive score of 125/5 in 7 overs, showcasing disciplined batting and smart shot selection. In response, TIGPS 2 mounted a strong chase, scoring 120/8 in 7 overs, but ultimately fell short by just 5 runs, sealing a thrilling victory for DAMA and crowning them the Champions of the TIGPL Shield 2026.
The final match was not only memorable for its tight finish but also for the remarkable individual performances that defined the tournament. Anuraj Jana, with his all-round impact in the final, was deservedly named the Man of the Match. Abhishek Ghosh of TIU emerged as the Best Batter, impressing everyone with his consistency and attacking gameplay throughout the tournament. Rakesh Karmakar from DAMA was awarded the Best Bowler for his match-winning spells that consistently put opponents under pressure. Adding a special highlight to DAMA’s triumph, Esita De was honoured as the Best Female Player, reflecting the inclusive and encouraging sporting culture promoted by the league.






Beyond the scores and trophies, the TIGPL Shield 2026 stood as a celebration of camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The vibrant visuals and bold spirit reflected in the tournament poster were brought to life on the field, as players, organizers, and spectators collectively contributed to the success of the event. The league not only strengthened inter-institutional bonds but also emphasized the importance of physical fitness and collaborative spirit within the Techno India Group.
