IdeaThon 2025 Marks One of the Most Engaging Editions with 80+ Teams Competing

IdeaThon 2025 wrapped up with high energy and an impressive lineup of innovative ideas, marking yet another successful initiative by the Technical Club of Techno India University, Takshila. Coordinated seamlessly between the Innovation & Management domain and the Computing domain, the event highlighted how cross-domain teamwork fuels impactful innovation.

With over 2,500 registration views, 377+ participants, and 80+ competing teams, this year’s edition stood out as one of the most active and high-engagement iterations to date.

Participants joined from a wide range of reputed institutions such as Techno India University, Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Heritage Institute of Technology, Narula Institute of Technology, Techno Main Salt Lake, Institute of Engineering & Management, St. Thomas’ College of Engineering & Technology, B. P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology, Adamas University, JIS College of Engineering, and Sister Nivedita University, contributing to a dynamic environment filled with healthy competition, shared learning, and fresh perspectives.

Day 1 commenced on November 17 with rapid-fire pitching sessions, where teams presented their concepts before a panel of 11–12 distinguished judges from academia and industry. The structure was rigorous yet engaging, featuring concise presentations followed by in-depth questioning and constructive feedback. This process encouraged participants to refine their approaches and strengthen the clarity and viability of their ideas. By the end of the day, teams departed with renewed confidence, valuable insights, and a clearer sense of direction.

On Day 2 November 18 , participants returned with enhanced pitch decks, improved execution strategies, and stronger validation. Judges assessed each team holistically, considering feasibility, scalability, teamwork, innovation, and real-world applicability. The atmosphere remained focused yet electric as teams delivered their final pitches, culminating in a sense of anticipation ahead of the final selection.

After thorough evaluation, ten remarkable teams were selected to move forward into the one-month incubation phase: Team 404, Team Sportify, Team Mark85, Team SoilGuard, Team Vajra, Team Think Tank, Team Settlamatos, Team Aquila, Team FREMN, and Team Choose Good. Each team demonstrated clear vision, originality, and strong potential to address real-world challenges.

The event also received strong support from community partners, including Google Developer Group Techno India University (GDG TIU), Google Developer Group NetajiSubhash Engineering College (GDG NSEC), and Magistics, whose involvement helped amplify outreach, collaboration, and technical support throughout the program.

As the top teams now transition into the incubation phase, they will receive structured mentorship, technical guidance, access to resources, and networking opportunities to help transform their concepts into scalable and impactful solutions.
