This winter, the students of ASMi Business School at Techno India University stepped forward with a mission rooted in empathy—to ensure that no one in the city faced the cold alone. Through their heartfelt initiative, ‘Spread the Warmth’, they turned compassion into action, mobilising support across Kolkata and proving that true leadership begins with humanity.
From the very first day, ASMi’s student volunteers took full responsibility: reaching out to companies, placing collection boxes, raising awareness, and inspiring people across the city to contribute. Their enthusiasm transformed offices into spaces of generosity, where employees dropped sweaters, coats, blankets, and scarves with the hope of warming someone’s winter.
The drive received incredible support from corporate partners. Esteemed organisations such as NEXA, WE MADAM, UPTURN FIT & FAB LLP, Air India, and TATA AIG General Insurance Co. Ltd., along with 50+ other corporate companies, participated wholeheartedly. Their encouragement and contributions added immense strength to the initiative, turning this student-led effort into a citywide wave of compassion.

Once all contributions were collected, the students partnered with Make Calcutta Relevant Again (MCRA) to ensure every donation reached the right hands. MCRA, known for its deep community engagement and compassionate on-ground interventions, worked closely with the ASMi volunteers to sort, pack, and distribute the winter clothing across underprivileged neighbourhoods. Together, they ensured that young children, elderly citizens, and vulnerable families received not just warm clothes, but dignity, comfort, and a renewed sense of hope—transforming every contribution into a meaningful moment of relief for the people of Kolkata.
For the ASMi students, Spread the Warmth became more than a winter drive—it became a journey of learning, care, and responsibility. They experienced firsthand how a single act of giving can create impact, how community efforts can change lives, and how young individuals can become powerful agents of hope.
This winter, they didn’t just distribute clothes.
They shared smiles.
They shared hope.
They spread warmth—across streets, hearts, and lives.
Through their dedication, ASMi Business School’s students have set a shining example of what it means to serve society with compassion and purpose. They have shown Kolkata that when young hearts take the lead, kindness becomes unstoppable.
