In yet another shining moment for Techno India University, the official Entrepreneurship Cell of the University’s Department of Management — FUTUREPRENEURS — has made history by securing a position among the Top 10 teams in India at the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC) 2025, organized by IIT Bombay. This remarkable achievement marks a new milestone in the university’s journey toward promoting innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.
What began as a spark of ambition among a group of determined management students has evolved into one of the university’s most inspiring success stories. Founded under the Department of Management, FUTUREPRENEURS was created to nurture innovation, leadership, and a spirit of enterprise among students. From a humble team of 15 vision-driven individuals, the E-Cell has grown into a thriving platform where ideas transform into impactful possibilities.
The National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC), one of India’s largest and most competitive entrepreneurship development programs, organized by E-Cell IIT Bombay, witnessed participation from over 600+ colleges nationwide. The six-month-long challenge, which began in June 2025, tested teams through a series of rigorous tasks focusing on business strategy, innovation, teamwork, and execution skills.
Throughout this journey, the team from Techno India University displayed relentless dedication, steadily advancing from the Top 600 to the Top 50, and ultimately earning a well-deserved position among the Top 10 teams in India.
This remarkable achievement was made possible under the constant guidance and support of our Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Anup Kumar Ghosh, our Faculty Mentor, Prof. Dr. Madhubala Roy, and the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble CEO, Dr. Sujoy Biswas. Their encouragement and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping the Futurepreneurs’ journey from ideation to national recognition.
Reflecting on their journey, the members of FUTUREPRENEURS shared that the experience not only honed their entrepreneurial acumen but also taught them the value of collaboration and resilience. “We learned that entrepreneurship is not just about ideas — it’s about teamwork, execution, and believing in yourself even when the odds are high,” the team expressed.
The grand finale of NEC 2025 will be held at IIT Bombay on December 10, 2025, where FUTUREPRENEURS will represent Techno India University on a national platform among the brightest young innovators in India.
Adding to their triumph, the team has also received an invitation to the prestigious E-Summit 2025 at IIT Bombay, scheduled for December 11 and 12, 2025. This will give them an invaluable opportunity to interact with leading entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts from across the nation — a recognition of their talent and dedication.
As FUTUREPRENEURS prepare to step onto the IIT Bombay stage, they carry with them not only their dreams but also the pride and spirit of Techno India University.
