The Rotary Interact Club of TIGPS Garia Hosts Its 4th Installation Ceremony

On the bright morning of November 8, 2025, the campus of Techno India Group Public School, Garia, was filled with excitement, pride, and a renewed spirit of service as the Rotary Interact Club “Prayas” celebrated its 4th Installation Ceremony.

The event was not just a change of leadership—it was a celebration of dedication, teamwork, and the power of young minds coming together for a greater cause. The ceremony marked the official induction of the new office bearers, who stepped forward to lead the club under Rotary’s inspiring motto, “Service Above Self.”

Gracing the occasion were Honourable Co-Chairperson Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury of Techno India Group and Principal Ms. Tania Sen, whose presence added warmth and encouragement to the young Interactors. Their words resonated deeply, urging students to dream bigger and to lead with kindness and integrity.

The event was also attended by several esteemed Rotary dignitaries, including District Interact Committee Chair Rtn. Arpita Chatterjee, Interact Co-Chair Rtn. Nilanjan Sen, Assistant Governor Rtn. Amit Sen, Charter President Rtn. Vinay Misra, Immediate Past President & Interact Chair Rtn. Sirshendu Niyogi, Club Membership Chair Rtn. Sekhar Sengupta, Club Secretary Rtn. Simmi Barua, Club President Rtn. Kanta Sengupta, and Public Image Chair Rtn. Bulbul Kundu.

The ceremony began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the light of knowledge and service. The soulful Ganesh Vandana, performed by two students from Class XI, set a serene and devotional tone for the morning.

A key highlight of the day was the formal handover of leadership. Outgoing President Ishwar Surolia Sharma gracefully passed the Charter and the Bell to the newly appointed President Samiksha Banerjee, symbolizing the seamless continuation of leadership and commitment. Ishwar reflected on the year gone by, sharing the club’s achievements and moments of pride from the Interact year 2024–25.

Samiksha, in her address as the new President, spoke passionately about her vision for the coming year—focusing on community outreach, environmental responsibility, and leadership development. Her words radiated enthusiasm and a sincere desire to carry forward the club’s legacy with innovation and compassion.

As the ceremony concluded, one could sense a shared feeling of inspiration and purpose among the students, teachers, and guests alike. It wasn’t just a formal event—it was a promise of continued service, learning, and leadership.

With strong mentors, dedicated members, and a clear vision, the Interact Club “Prayas” now steps confidently into another year of impactful initiatives, embodying the true essence of Rotary: “Service Above Self.”
