The vibrant campus of Techno India University, West Bengal, came alive with excitement as fresh faces from diverse disciplines gathered for the Orientation 2025. From the first step onto the campus, there was an unmistakable buzz — a sense that this was not merely an introduction, but the beginning of a transformative journey.
Professors, industry leaders, and spiritual guides came together to welcome students from every department — Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML), Computer Science and Data Science (CSDS), Computer Science and IoT, Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Management Studies, Computer Applications, ASMI Business School, and École intuit. Lab – French School of Design & Creative Strategy.
Together, they shared wisdom, guidance, and inspiration — reminding students that at Techno India University, learning goes beyond the classroom. It’s about curiosity, creativity, and courage — the values that define future leaders.

Engineering the Future
For students of Computer Science and Engineering, IT, ECE, EIE, CSBS, AIML, CSDS, IoT, and ECS, the sessions featured globally renowned academicians and industry experts including Dr. B. C. Giri (Jadavpur University), Dr. Sanjay Bhattacharjee (University of Kent, UK), Dr. Debasish Biswas (JU), Dr. Debmalya Panigrahi (Duke University, USA), Dr. Debanjana Nayak (Presidency University), Prof. M. Sarbadhikary (IIEST, Shibpur), Prof. Anirban Bhattacharyya (University of Calcutta), Dr. S. K. Parui (IIEST, Shibpur), and Mr. R. Mahato (TCS).
Their words urged students to think beyond code — to create technology that transforms lives. They spoke of innovation, resilience, and the power of collaboration. Spiritual guidance from Swami Vedaswarupananda Maharaj (Ramakrishna Mission, Golpark) and Swami Dibyajananda Maharaj (Bharat Sevashram Sangha) added a deeper reflection, reminding students that intellect must always be rooted in integrity.
Representatives from Brahmakumari and Father Sheeraj further inspired the audience with thoughts on focus, discipline, and gratitude — virtues that sustain lifelong success. As one student beautifully summarized, “A strong vision today creates a brighter tomorrow.”
The Science of Life: Biotech, Pharmacy, and Food Technology
Students from Biotechnology, Pharmacy, and Food Technology were immersed in sessions that celebrated interdisciplinary exploration. Eminent speakers including Dr. D. Das (MD, Pathology), Dr. Sougata Ghosh (HoD, Microbiology, Calcutta Medical College), Dr. M. Ghosh (IIEST, Shibpur), Dr. A. Adhikary (Jadavpur University), Dr. S. K. Banik (Bose Institute), Dr. D. Bera (JU), Dr. Madhuri Biswas (Sagardutta Medical College), and Dr. Debabrata Mandal (University of Calcutta) shared insights on how innovation in biological sciences can redefine healthcare and sustainability.
They highlighted how collaboration between biotechnology, microbiology, and pharmaceutical sciences can create real-world impact. Students were urged to approach their subjects not as isolated domains, but as interconnected avenues for discovery.
Their collective message resonated deeply: “Knowledge has no boundaries — only those who dare to learn, lead the future.”
The Digital Edge: Computer Applications
The orientation for Computer Applications students brought together leaders who have bridged the gap between academia and the tech industry — Mrs. R. Bandyopadhyay (Director, PwC India), Mr. S. Sarkar (TCS), Mr. Partho Chakraborty (Ericsson), Prof. B. Sau (Jadavpur University), and Prof. Debashis Sarkar (University of Calcutta).
They spoke passionately about aligning one’s education with emerging technologies like AI, Data Science, and Cloud Computing, encouraging students to make thoughtful choices in majors and minors.
Father Sheeraj’s address offered a grounded reminder — discipline and dedication remain the keys to building a strong, meaningful future.

Redefining Business and Management
For students entering Management Studies, the orientation captured how management today exists at the intersection of AI, digital marketing, and finance.
Eminent speakers Prof. B. B. Chakraborty (IIM Calcutta), Prof. Sarbani Maitra (IISWBM), Prof. R. Banerji (Calcutta University), and Prof. Purushottam Sen (IIM Calcutta) engaged students in thought-provoking discussions on leadership in the digital era.
From the corporate world, Ms. Aaratrika Brahmachari (Ernst & Young) inspired students with her roadmap for success in a constantly evolving market — urging them to balance analytical skills with emotional intelligence. The takeaway was clear: true leadership is about adaptability, empathy, and foresight.
Designing Creative Futures at École intuit. Lab
On 13th August 2025, the creative energy was palpable at École intuit. Lab – French School of Design & Creative Strategy, a proud part of Techno India University. The orientation, themed “New Faces, New Experiences & New Beginnings,” celebrated creativity, imagination, and innovation.
The program encouraged aspiring designers to explore art not just as expression but as a tool for transformation — to think visually, act thoughtfully, and design with empathy. The spirit of École intuit. Lab shone brightly in every interaction: design is where thought meets emotion.
ASMI Business School: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders
Earlier in August, ASMI Business School, part of Techno India University, hosted its grand orientation on August 5th, 2025, at the Godrej Genesis campus, Kolkata.
Themed “Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders, Today,” the event welcomed the MBA cohort (2025–2027) — 75 bright individuals ready to make their mark in the business world.
The sessions focused on leadership, innovation, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship, inspiring students to think beyond conventional business models. The underlying message echoed through the day: “Success is not just about profit — it’s about purpose.”
Across every department — CSE, IT, ECE, EIE, CSBS, AIML, DS, IoT, ECS, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Computer Applications, Management Studies, ASMI Business School, and École intuit. Lab — the Orientation 2025 stood as a celebration of knowledge, creativity, and courage.
Each session, each speaker, and each conversation lit a spark — the kind that ignites dreams and drives change. The Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean, Director, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Faculty Members, and Placement Teams all united to remind students that they are the future innovators, designers, and leaders of tomorrow.
As the orientation concluded, one powerful sentiment lingered in every heart:
“When wisdom meets innovation, possibilities become limitless.”
With that spirit, the Class of 2025 steps forward — ready to create, to lead, and to shape a brighter, bolder world.
