The much-anticipated Boardroom Battles at ASMi Business School, Techno India University, unfolded as an electrifying two-day spectacle, designed exclusively for first-year MBA and BBA students. With a blend of competitive spirit, creativity, and real-world business challenges, the event gave students a hands-on platform to sharpen their problem-solving and teamwork skills, while learning directly from industry leaders who graced the seminar hall.
From the very beginning, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. For many students, it was their very first time stepping into such a high-stakes competitive environment. As they grouped into teams with names like Market Mavericks and Strategic Squad, there was a mix of excitement and nervous laughter—after all, this was no ordinary classroom activity. It was a stage where they would have to prove themselves, not just to peers, but also to seasoned professionals.
The competitions tested them in every way possible. The sharp-witted BizWhiz quiz pushed students to the edge of their business knowledge. The colorful ReBrand Rally sparked creativity and teamwork, where sketch pens and chart papers turned into weapons of branding warfare. But it was the Case Study Competition and Shark Tank ASMi that truly transformed the experience. Standing before the judges with presentations and business pitches, students described their hearts racing, yet they found themselves speaking with more confidence than they knew they had.

What made these moments memorable were the dignitaries who didn’t just evaluate but inspired:
- Anirban Basu, Co-Founder of Spectre Corporate Finance Solutions LLP and Startup Coach, spoke in a way that students felt he was walking them through the real rollercoaster of entrepreneurship—its risks, its failures, and its triumphs. His words reassured them that starting small is never a limitation, but a beginning.
- Kanad Bhattacharjee, Co-Founder of Gaanpeon and L&D professional, resonated deeply with the crowd. Many students later shared how his emphasis on human connection in business made them rethink their own approach to leadership and communication.
- Swarnadeep Paul, Assistant Manager – HR Operations & Information System at Bandhan Bank, stood out as someone the students could immediately relate to. Just a few years ahead in his career, his presence felt like looking into their own possible futures—proof that their dreams were not far-fetched.
- Pradipta Chowdhury, Vice President – Corporate Legal Operations at Vodafone Idea Limited, impressed students with his clarity on ethics and governance. Several said it was the first time they truly understood how law and business intertwine.
- Rajkumar Paul, General Manager – Legal at Vodafone Idea Limited, added another layer of practical insight. His advice on resilience struck a chord with students who admitted that the two-day competition itself had already taught them the value of perseverance.

From the students’ perspective, what started as a competition became a personal journey. Many reflected that Boardroom Battles was not just about winning, but about discovering their hidden potential—whether it was finding the courage to hold a microphone, crafting a marketing pitch in record time, or answering tough questions from the panel without faltering.
The closing ceremony turned into a celebration of talent and effort, with three winning teams from BBA and three from MBA taking home the laurels. Their victory was a proud moment not only for the students themselves but for their peers who cheered them on, proving that the real triumph lay in collective growth and shared learning.
As the applause rang out, the true victory belonged to every participant. They walked away with more than certificates or prizes—they carried confidence, clarity, and a sense of belonging to a community that nurtures leaders.
For ASMi Business School, Boardroom Battles was more than just an event. For its students, it was the beginning of their journey as changemakers in the world of business.
