Kolkata | July 12, 2025, In a world where women are often expected to quietly carry the weight of families, dreams, and societies, Labonnyo 2025 arrived like a gentle yet powerful celebration of everything a woman stands for — grace, courage, and unshakable resilience.
Organised by Techno India Group, Labonnyo is not just an event. It is a heartfelt movement — a space where women from all walks of life are celebrated, uplifted, and honoured for the extraordinary impact they create in their everyday lives and beyond. This was the second season of the initiative, and it was nothing short of inspiring.
From leaders and changemakers to artists, athletes, social workers, and media personalities, the event honoured ten incredible women under various award categories, each representing a unique aspect of womanhood.
The room sparkled not just with lights and decor, but with the presence of women whose lives have been marked by struggle, grit, and an undying will to move forward. Their journeys are testaments to what’s possible when a woman refuses to give up.

As Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group and the visionary behind Labonnyo, said so passionately: “Time and again, women have had to fight twice as hard to claim their space and prove their worth. Labonnyo is our tribute to those who rise above barriers with courage, compassion, and purpose. Through this platform, we honour their journeys and celebrate the power of womanhood in shaping a more inclusive and inspired world.”
It was this spirit that filled every corner of the venue — the acknowledgment that a woman’s success is not just hers alone, but a victory for everyone who comes after her.
The atmosphere of Labonnyo 2025 was rich with admiration, celebration, and shared strength. A captivating dance performance by the talented students of Techno India Public School set the tone for the evening — vibrant, expressive, and full of grace. Their performance paid tribute to the essence of womanhood and left the audience moved and uplifted.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Dr. Shashi Panja, Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare of West Bengal, added depth to the evening with her warm and emotional words.
Reflecting on the essence of Labonnyo, she said: “Labannoyo — the word itself means a glance, beauty, and everything positive. And that’s exactly what this initiative stands for. It’s a beautiful idea, brought to life by an equally beautiful couple — Gautam Roychowdhury and Manoshi Roychowdhury. God bless them for dreaming something so meaningful. Labannoyo is more than just a project; it’s a tribute to their journey, and a hopeful look at the future. It’s going to inspire so many more — especially women and young girls — to rise, to represent Bengal, and to become ambassadors of a better society.”
Her words echoed the silent courage of thousands of women whose efforts often go unseen — until a platform like Labonnyo finally gives them their due.

The highest honour of the evening — the Devi Lifetime Achievement Award — was conferred upon Smt. Nayantara Pal Chowdhury, Diplomatic Envoy. As someone who has seen decades of change, challenges, and quiet victories, her voice carried both grace and conviction.
She reminded everyone of a powerful truth: “I strongly believe that behind every successful woman, there is always another woman. Every time a woman stands up for herself, she unknowingly stands up for all women. Every woman’s success should be an inspiration for another. And my friend, that is so very true — believe me, we women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world.”
Her words were met with thunderous applause — not just because they rang true, but because every woman in the room felt seen and heard.
