Alumni Meet 2025: Heart-warming Reunion at Ramgarh Engineering College

30th  June, 2025, a normal day for ever other human in the whole world but not for the Ramgarh College. The campus of Ramgarh Engineering College (REC) was filled with energy, joy, and nostalgia as former students from different batches came together for the Grand Alumni Meet 2025. The event was beautifully organized by the Ramgarh Engineering College Alumni Association (RECAA) to strengthen the bond between the college and its alumni.

The event began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and togetherness. The college principal, Dr. Sharbani Roy, expressed her gratitude towards the alumni committee members for organizing such a heart-touching event.

Vice Principal, Dr. Nazmul Islam, addressed the gathering and said, “You all are the true ambassadors of REC. Your achievements make us proud and inspire our current students. This event is not just a reunion but a reminder of our lasting bond.”

Alumni from batches spanning 2017 to 2024 attended the event. They shared stories of their college days and how REC played a crucial role in shaping their careers and personalities.

One of the proud alumni, Mr. Navneet Kumar Gupta, currently working as a Technical Analyst at Infosys and a graduate from the 2017 batch, shared, “Coming back to campus after so many years feels like living my golden student life again. I am amazed to see how the college is growing with new technologies and infrastructure.”

Interactive Talk Sessions: Alumni discussed their career journeys, giving useful tips to current students. Topics like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and Green Energy were highlighted to encourage students to explore new-age technology fields.

Panel Discussion: A special session on “Bridging Academia and Industry: The Role of Alumni” was conducted. Experts from software industries, core engineering sectors, public services, and research fields shared their views on how alumni can contribute to the development of the college and its students.

Cultural Performances: Students of REC showcased their talents through colourful folk dances, fusion musical performances, and a short, entertaining skit portraying student life at REC, which brought smiles and laughter to everyone present.

Memory Lane Exhibition: An emotional walk down memory lane with old photographs, past college magazines, and award displays, making everyone relive their classroom moments, college fests, and hostel memories.

Special stalls were set up where alumni could express interest in mentoring students, supporting research projects, or collaborating on social initiatives.

Another highlight of the day was the launch of a new alumni portal – “recalumni.org”. This platform will help alumni stay connected, get college updates, participate in mentoring programs, and network with fellow alumni.

Many alumni also showed interest in helping students with internship opportunities, industrial visits, start-up mentoring, and even campus placements.

Mr. Mazhar Ansari, currently working at Patratu Valley, said, “We gained so much from this college. Now it’s our turn to give back, whether by guiding fresher’s or supporting college projects.”

Mr. Raghavendra Prasad, a 2023 graduate working at RITES (Rail India Technical and Economic Service), said, “Coming back here has been an emotional journey. This college has taught me not just engineering but life lessons too. The infrastructure and academics have grown so much. The Alumni Meet was so well planned — from the welcome to the interactive sessions. I am happy to contribute and mentor the next generation.

The event ended with the distribution of mementos and certificates to the alumni, followed by a group photograph session and a delicious networking breakfast and lunch.

In the vote of thanks, Mr. Akash Kumar, Head of the Alumni Association, praised the hard work of the faculty members, student volunteers, and administrative staff who made the event a success. “This is not just a one-day gathering but the beginning of a stronger alumni-institute partnership.
