EDGE 2025 Wasn’t a Fest — It Was a Dimensional Detour

The electric buzz was back at Techno Main Salt Lake — and how! EDGE 2025, the 19th edition of the most awaited techno-management fest in Eastern India, came back bigger, bolder, and brighter, breaking records and boundaries with every passing day. Organized by the ever-dynamic Team Geekonix, this year’s theme, “NAVI 19°N – Navigating Ages, Vectoring Interdimensions”, was more than just a tagline — it was a call to action. A nod to the fest’s 19th chapter, the theme represented a compass pointing toward growth, exploration, and limitless possibilities. The logo itself — a compass set at 19° North — radiated direction, purpose, and a deep hunger for innovation.

The festivities kicked off in grandeur on April 3rd with an inaugural ceremony that echoed excellence. The aura was elevated by the presence of dignitaries Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Prof. Dr. Sujoy Biswas, Mr. Debasish Sen, Mr. Sujay Kumar Chanda, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, and several more leaders and changemakers. The ceremonial lamp lighting wasn’t just tradition — it was a symbolic spark of brilliance that lit up the road to three unforgettable days ahead. The energy in the air was electric as the message was clear: EDGE 2025 was about more than events — it was about ideas, impact, and inspiration.

From April 4th to 6th, the campus turned into a vibrant carnival of technology, talent, and culture. Every corridor echoed with excitement. Every corner witnessed innovation. Events like EDGE Talks, EDGE Deeds, and the epic EDGE Nights blended intellect with entertainment in the most perfect way. And this year, something new added fuel to the fire — the official anthem, “We Are The Revolution”. It wasn’t just a song — it was a movement. A heartbeat. A war cry that brought together creators, coders, thinkers, dreamers, and doers in one powerful voice. And that’s what Team Geekonix did best — they didn’t just plan a fest, they sparked a revolution.

The backbone of EDGE 2025 was the powerhouse of clubs under Team Geekonix. Each sub-club brought something unique to the table, adding layers of creativity and brilliance to the fest. From Robopalz Robotics Club (RRC), whose events reached national levels, to Cyber Crusade, which hosted high-energy gaming battles in Valorant, BGMI, Tekken 8.0 and more — the thrill was real. The quiz masters at Newron stumped even the sharpest minds with a session led by the one and only MAAKO, while developers from Curbrain x GDSC and the GFG Student Chapter rewired digital landscapes with flair. Clubs like Create It and Innovati turned imagination into action, while Infocus, Geek Design, and the Editorial Sub-Club captured the fest’s magic through visuals and words. And yes — even food turned into fun with the ever-creative Food for Fun club!

April 4th set the perfect tone with the much-anticipated Creator’s Conclave, where digital sensations like Sayak Chakraborty, Sukanta Kundu, Ananya Guha, Saikat Dey, and others captivated audiences with real, unfiltered conversations about content creation and storytelling in today’s fast-paced digital world. But the true showstopper of the day? The exclusive trailer launch of “Check in Cheque Out” — the first-ever movie produced by Techno India Group. With the entire cast and crew present on campus, the event turned into a full-fledged celebration of cinema, youth talent, and creative ambition. The premiere of the trailer added a touch of stardust to EDGE 2025, drawing an overwhelming crowd and marking a proud and historic moment for the institution’s legacy in arts and entertainment.

Then came April 5th — a perfect mix of soul and laughter. It began with the Dispersion Music Showcase, graced by none other than Dalip Tahil and the full production team, blending music and cinema beautifully. Later, musical legends Rupam Islam and Sidhu took the EDGE Talks stage for an unforgettable fireside chat moderated by Meghdut Roychowdhury, where they opened up about creativity, struggles, and staying true to one’s voice. As night fell, laughter stole the show with comedian Nishant Suri, whose comic timing left the crowd gasping for breath and begging for more.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, April 6th arrived with an explosive grand finale — the Red Bull “In My Hood” Party Night. Lights, music, cheers, and boundless energy turned the TMSL campus into a dance floor of dreams. It was wild, it was electric, and it was the perfect way to close three days of magic.

But EDGE 2025 wasn’t just about the fun. It shattered records — from prize pools to registrations. Students from colleges across India showed up and showed out, pushing boundaries and unleashing brilliance. Every sub-club event saw enthusiastic participation and high-level competition, creating an unforgettable vibe of unity and healthy rivalry. The footfall, the cheers, the community — it all reflected one undeniable truth: this wasn’t just an event. It was history in the making.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the amazing line up of sponsors. From Promote Education as the title partner to Edugraph as the digital media partner, the fest was backed by powerful supporters. PVR Inox, Burger King, Nescafe, Kit Kat, Tea Junction, 91.9 Friends FM and many more joined hands to make EDGE a perfect fusion of industry and academia.

In the end, EDGE 2025 wasn’t just a fest — it was a movement. A roaring, relentless celebration of what youth can achieve when given the right platform. Team Geekonix delivered not just with passion, but with precision. Every detail, every event, every voice was part of a bigger picture — a legacy that will live on. As the dust settles and the lights dim, one thing is certain: EDGE 2025 was a revolution led by students, driven by dreams, and powered by unstoppable energy. And it has set the stage for even greater things to come.
