Quizcon’24, hosted by Club Eclectica of Techno Main Salt Lake, brought quiz fans together at Gseries on October 27. The U25 Pop Culture Quiz and the Open General Quiz were the two main events of Quizcon’24, a welcoming and exciting competition that was open to competitors of all ages and backgrounds, including students and seasoned quizzers from different quizzing circles.
The U25 Pop Culture Quiz, which was organised for competitors under 25, began start the day. It was about popular culture. Questions about gaming, literature, music, and films provided a fun challenge for the 17 teams who took part. The first round of the quiz consisted of 26 questions, and the top eight teams went on to the finals. Anushko Mondal, Chitrak Mukkherje and Samay Sengupta won first place in the final rounds, showcasing their expertise and collaboration. Kritadhi Bannerjee, Karishnu Bannerjee and Samridhhi Patra came in second and third, respectively.
Twenty teams of various ages and skill levels were invited to the Open General Quiz after the U25 Pop Culture Quiz. This test included a wide range of general knowledge subjects and was hosted by Quizmasters Samanway Bannerjee, Karishnu Bannerjee and Kritadhi Bannerjee. The top eight teams proceeded to final round. Saswata Chakraborty, Apratim Mukhopadhyay and Bishakha Dassarma took first position, followed by Nikhil Sarkar, Arunodoy Choudhury and Anushko Mondal in second and Joy Banerjee‘s team in fourth.
The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony celebrating the success of the day’s top performers. Quizcon’24 concluded well, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds for a stimulating day of intellectual stimulation and friendly rivalry. Club Eclectica’s Quizcon’24 was a great success, and everyone is looking forward to the next one.
