On October 1, 2024, the Media Science Department of Techno India Salt Lake in collaboration with Fujifilm, organized a captivating photography workshop. The session was led by internationally renowned photographer Mrs. Lopamudra Talukdar, whose expertise in the art of photography left participants inspired and enriched. Lopamudra Ma’am shared insights into both technical aspects and her experience through visuals, making the session highly interactive and informative.
The day also featured a curtain-raiser for the Inter-College Student Short Film Festival, ‘Lumiere’, which is scheduled for November 21, 2024, at the Ambuja EcoCentre, 7th floor, Room 713. Aspiring filmmakers will have a chance to display their work and inventiveness at the event. This announcement added to the excitement, giving aspiring filmmakers a platform to showcase their creativity. The unveiling of Lumiere-2024 heightened students’ anticipation, and they are eager to participate in this much-awaited event.
Representatives from Fujifilm also brought their latest camera models, which enhanced the excitement and gave attendees a chance to interact with advanced photographic equipment. Students had the chance to experiment with the cameras and improve their technical abilities under the direction of professionals during this hands-on workshop.
Special thanks were extended to the student team from the BMS Department, Fujifilm, Lopamudra Talukdar and the Techno India Group management for their roles in making the day a success. Gratitude was also expressed towards Vice-Principal Prof. (Dr.) Soumik Das, Dean Prof. Debanjan Banerjee, HoD Prof. Prithwiraj Pal, Mr. Alik Mondal and the respected faculty members for their immense support.
Students of media, photography and cinema have a bright future ahead of them thanks to Techno India Salt Lake, an event that is driven by creativity and teamwork.
