When everyone was locked up in their houses, she being the kindest, gave a place to her best friend to stay. Her best friend, Driti was 13 and she was 12. They had been friends for 7 years and then they were almost living together . One evening, she was scolded by her parents for not taking care of her hair and her being a sensitive person cried silently while tying her hair into two plaits and later climbed the rooftop with Driti, her most beloved person. It was around midnight, the wind was cold and the sky was dark with no moon and stars. After some time, she returned to her room and went to bed. The next morning, she woke up with loose hair but she clearly remembered she tied plaits. Her heart was beating fast with fear, her hands trembled as she reached the back of her hair. When she ran her fingers through her hair, strands of hair began to fall off. Not knowing what to do, she quickly hides it below the pillow. She was so scared to move out of the bed, Driti saw and asked her but she received no reply. Her mother came and she told her mother everything and showed her the strand of hair that came off. In India , when things like this happen, the families always reach out to a Tantrik first. And that was exactly what happened. The Tantrik revealed that it was a spirit and although it sounded ridiculous, at that time they believed it. However, only a week later Driti on leaving her house confessed it was her. Driti was not possessed but all she said was that, she was asked to do it. Being betrayed by her own best friend, she was traumatized and could not sleep for weeks. She was always scared and never grew her hair ever since then in fear that some other Driti in disguise will reappear. She is no one but me.
