The Walls We Build

-Sneha Saha, BBA 2nd Year, Future Institute of Engineering and Management

We are like tiny drops of water,
In the vast ocean-blue world.
Then, who are we to segregate?
Who are we to build walls?

Walls that break down humanity,
Walls that tear apart countries;
Who are we to put those walls?
Was this the plan of the almighty?

Who are we to judge our brothers
based on their origins?
We all come from the same womb
And our mother: The Earth.

So, let no man, woman, or child get killed,
by the very walls we build.
Never let our soldiers die
in futile wars based on hate.

Let no child lose his childhood
And ensure no woman loses her dignity
to the very walls, we build
based on our identity.

Let’s, for once, think like a human
And bring out our wrecking balls.
Let’s break the cruelest dividers we built,
Let’s break these toxic walls.
