On September 5th, 2024, Techno India celebrated Teachers’ Day in an event marked by heartfelt gratitude and intellectual reflection. Held at the university’s conference hall, the celebration was attended by faculty members across various departments, creating an atmosphere of unity and shared dedication to the institution’s mission of nurturing future generations.
The celebration began with a compelling speech by Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group who addressed the gathering with a thought-provoking question: “What is the difference between honesty and integrity?” This query prompted an enriching dialogue among the attendees, who reflected on the nuances between these two important values. Many faculty members highlighted that while honesty involves being truthful in one’s words, integrity extends to maintaining ethical standards even when no one is watching. Ms. RoyChowdhury elaborated that honesty is about transparency in communication, while integrity reflects a deeper adherence to moral principles through one’s actions. Her remarks resonated with the audience, emphasizing the role of teachers in modelling both virtues to their students.

In addition to the intellectual discourse, the event featured a memorable musical performance. Manoshi Ma’am delighted the attendees by singing “Aa Chal Ke Tujhe – Me Leke Chalu” with the faculty. Her soulful rendition added a joyful and personal touch to the celebration, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among the educators. The celebration also featured lively dance performances by faculty members, showcasing their enthusiasm and creativity.
Prof. Ms. RoyChowdhury also shared a powerful message about the role of Bengal in education, stating, “Let us establish Bengal as the state where we have teachers of home in the world. It had been years and years when people spoke about Bengali… As a confident, motivated teacher, I think Bengal has started that journey where the whole world is for Bengal.” Her words resonated deeply, reinforcing the idea that Bengal is reclaiming its place as a hub of intellectual and cultural significance, with its educators leading the charge.

The day also included informal interactions, where professors shared their personal teaching experiences, the challenges they encounter, and the fulfilment they derive from witnessing their students’ success. These conversations underscored the faculty’s dedication to not just imparting knowledge but also nurturing character and curiosity in their students.
The Teachers’ Day celebration at Techno India highlighted the institution’s dedication to creating a community of educators who strive to teach with both knowledge and moral fortitude, reinforcing the significance of their role in shaping the future.
