Red Bull Basement Launchpad was held at Techno India University (TIU) on September 4, 2024, turning TIU into a centre of innovation and entrepreneurial dynamism. The launchpad offered opportunity for personal improvement through professional mentoring courses, networking, and teamwork. The ultimate objective was to motivate students to use the newest technological developments to question and upend the status quo.

The event featured inspiring talks from prominent guest speakers, including Raina De, Kaustav Majumdar and Sandipan Chattopadhyay, who shared their insights on innovation, creativity, and the future of technology.

Raina De is an entrepreneur, branding consultant and professor, founder and managing Director of Marque & Brew, emphasized the importance of personal connection in branding, stating, “If you think of a brand and can’t think of a human being who will embody the brand, it’s not a good brand.” This highlights the need for brands to resonate on a human level to be truly impactful.

Kaustav Majumdar, Professor of Practice at Maharashtra State Skills University, offered a thought-provoking perspective on the future of education and technology. He noted, “You are still studying the same thing that I have studied. AI ne puri duniya badal de hain, your children are not going to study the same thing you have studied; they will study a different science. Do you realise you are the last of your humanity who will be studying? What we have studied for 300 years.”

Sandipan Chattopadhyay, CEO & MD of Xelpmoc Design & Tech, encouraged participants to be authentic in their branding approach. He remarked, “When you brand differently and your amenity shows to a mediator, people remember you more. Be truly yourself. Remember the sequence: building on your strengths, hiding your weaknesses, and its true brand. True brand means truly yourself.”

Meghdut Roy Chowdhury concluded the event with a vision for the future of entrepreneurship at TIU, saying, “This journey that we have started on promoting entrepreneurship at Techno India for our students for the greatest city at last keeps growing and building lots and lots of entrepreneurs in days to come.”

Students got the chance to interact directly with the speakers in addition to the stimulating workshops, which promoted a lively exchange of ideas. Participants were able to improve their start-up concepts with advice from industry professionals thanks to the participatory structure of the workshops.

Red Bull has a long history with the Techno India Group, having first established their brand presence on campus in West Bengal with this organization in 2010. This partnership laid the foundation for numerous innovative initiatives over the years, including the current Red Bull Basement program.

Students were urged to think creatively and to use AI technology as a catalyst for their inventions as part of the Red Bull Basement creativity. With the most promising teams slated to represent their nation in the World Finals in Tokyo, Japan, the program helps young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. There, they will take on teams from more than 40 nations and network with global thought leaders, businesspeople, and visionaries.

In summary, Techno India University’s Red Bull Basement Launchpad was an effective platform that encouraged student entrepreneurship, creativity, and invention. The event, which featured motivational advice from prominent figures in the business, not only offered useful insights into branding and the direction of technology, but it also underscored the significance of being genuine and fearless when pursuing creative concepts.
