Kolkata | August 1, 2026: Techno India Group Public School, Nabagram, Konnagar, celebrated an outstanding sporting achievement as its young karatekas delivered a remarkable performance at the 10th International Karate Championship – Indian Challengers Cup 2026. Competing on Day 2 of the championship, held on August 1, 2026, at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, West Bengal, the students showcased exceptional discipline, skill and determination to secure an impressive tally of 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.
The championship provided a prestigious platform for the young athletes to demonstrate their expertise in Kata and Kumite. Their performances reflected months of dedicated training, technical precision and the resilience required to excel in a highly competitive sporting environment.
Among the standout performers, Diya Roy won a Gold medal in Individual Kata. Dwitipriya Mallik and Asmita Samadder emerged as Double Gold medallists, securing top honours in both Kata and Kumite. Isha Das earned a Gold medal in Kata and a Silver medal in Kumite, while Adhiraj Saha secured Gold in Kata and Bronze in Kumite.
Adding to the school’s medal tally, Soumedutta Khasnabis won Silver in Kata and Bronze in Kumite. Asmita Ghosh claimed Double Bronze in Kata and Kumite, while Anushma Mohanta and Sanniva Chatterjee each earned Bronze medals in Kata.
